The writing skills aren't particularly bad (nor are they particularly good); I would, however, recommend that he be tested for rabies.

Apparently this guy is the producer for Colin Cowherd. And is proud of it.
Explains a lot, doesn't it?

To be honest if the articles bother you guys that much I don't see why you would continue to post or comment on them.

He repeated himself in the same sentance several times or my eyes are going bad.He tried for some parallelism by having a string of sentences that all began with "I couldn't imagine that Nick Saban would . . ." but the back end of the sentences didn't really match well, making it hard to follow. That font didn't help matters.

I didn't even read the article, but without clicking the link I know its a rant about $aban being a liar. I've read that rant like 20 times now, its time to move on. $aban lied, people lie, it was his choice, its done.

He is like the rest of them, instead of just simply admitting "I was wrong about Saban going to Alabama", he has to personally attack Saban to save face. He thinks he will get redemption for being wrong by attacking Saban's character. 'Oh, I forgot that Saban is a snake, so thats why he went to Alabama, I didn't factor that in.'

"I can call Nick Saban a snake and a liar and a coward and a quitter and also the best coach in football because my word does mean something. I take seriously that people take seriously what I say."
What a douche. His personal opinions of Nick Saban put aside, this guy damn near breaks his wrist patting himself on the back with this comment. I've never heard of this guy, and therefore have no concern regarding what he says. I'm sure that hurts his feelings to no end. Nothing worse than an angry young, self-righteous kid who needs to piss his pants somewhere.

My thoughts exactly, for me to take anything that he says seriously he would have to demonstrate the ability to take a thought, organize a sentence out of it, and put it down on paper. Or as he might put it take a thought and organize it and put it down on paper and... I mean come on this is 5th grade English here.

The only thing smart this cat wrote was how he is a transplanted yankee and that he 'Loves the South'. No kiddin...........no rocket science needed to figure out your going to love the South. So I will give him credit for that remark.

The guy that wrote that piece goes by the name "Compass" on the show. I usually find his comments to be right on the money as he typically balances out Cowherd who is often way out in left field with his stuff. This time, much like his boss, he goes too far.
While I do agree with him that Saban quit on the Dolphins leaving them in a terrible position, I'm not sure how that makes him different from a great number of coaches who have either done the same or would do so if given the opportunity. That is the nature of the profession. Coaches are no more trustworthy than used-car salesmen, so if he is a snake, he ain't the only snake on the field.
The bottom line is that Saban is now the coach at Alabama. Vols, Dolphins, and Tigers like Compass might not like that, but it ain't much we can do about it. Really, the only people who should truly be upset are Dolphins. They're the ones who got jilted.

These thoughts that I posted earlier on another thread seem appropriate here...
Coaches and Lying:
If new coaches were found to have lied on their résumés, they would probably be vilified and dismissed. But denying interest in a job, and then accepting it, is such an accepted practice that the teams jilted by deception receive little sympathy as they set about filling the unexpectedly vacant position — perhaps with someone else who will not tell the truth about their interest in the job.
Ten months ago, when the well-traveled Dennis Erickson accepted the job at Idaho, he said the only reason he would leave would be to retire; he left a couple of weeks ago for Arizona State. Idaho’s athletic director, Rob Spear, said he was disappointed in Erickson’s departure but not surprised. Nor was he surprised that coaches might be reluctant to tell people the truth.
“Coaches are preaching to kids all the time — be loyal, do everything for the team,” Spear said. “The last thing they want is to be seen out there looking for another job, and not being loyal to their team.”
Days after Boston College (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/b/boston_college/index.html?inline=nyt-org) Coach Tom O’Brien released a statement saying, “I’m not a candidate for any job,” he was named the coach at North Carolina State (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/n/north_carolina_state_university/index.html?inline=nyt-org).
West Virginia Coach Rich Rodriguez, upset about reports that he was headed to Alabama, called a radio talk show and said he planned to spend his entire career at West Virginia. Days later, he mulled a job offer from Alabama. He ultimately turned it down.
Lying is part of the coach’s job-change playbook. Tommy Tuberville once reportedly said that he would have to be carried away from his job at Mississippi in a pine box. Then he departed for Auburn — in a car, or a plane.
Such turnabouts create doubts, fairly or not, about the sincerity of coaches who deny interest in other jobs. At least until they feel they must confess their intentions.
There is no reason to believe that Charlie Weis is lying when he says he is not interested in the Giants should Coughlin get fired. Only the precedent set by other coaches and his past links to the Giants create doubts about his allegiance to Notre Dame. Too, he was one of four finalists for the Giants job when Coughlin was hired three years ago. During his interview with the Giants’ co-owner, John Mara, and the general manager, Ernie Accorsi, on Jan. 1, 2004, Weis reportedly called the Giants his dream job. Maybe it still is.
But Weis says he has no interest in returning to the N.F.L. And why would he not be a man of his word?

I'm getting tired of the Saban Bashing BS. When Jason Taylor comes out on live national television (NFL Countdown on ESPN) and publically DEFENDS CNS, then I'll say what he said about the Fins Fans:
Move on already. He defended CNS's move to Alabama, wasn't pissed, said he enjoyed his time with CNS, and told the media and Miami fans to just move on. I think everyone else needs to do the same.
It's going to get to the point where it becomes elementary and juvenille to bash Saban. It's already getting old, and he's not even been at Alabama two weeks.

I really don't see much wrong with the article, Saban did lie point blank to the fans of Miami and the organization. I still don't really care cause I don't think Saban will have quite the success he had at LSU. I also think he'll follow the money again as soon as the opportunity arises.

During the 5 weeks he shot down rumors about the job in T-Town, he was still winning some games.
He wasn't sure if he wanted to go or not. By Christmas Eve, he told Wayne Huizenga that he wanted to go back to college. He never said, "Hey Wayne, I'm taking the Alabama job." CNS wasn't for sure, from what I understand, where he wanted to go. BTW, during the time he was shooting down rumors, CRR was being offered, so again, CNS didn't know his future for sure.
And even if he did lie, big deal right? We all lie. That's between him and the Good Lord. He doesn't have to answer to or apologize to people who are willing to cast stones. People who don't even follow college football or even the NFL closely, like Mike Wilbon, are taking shots. Why? They're bandwagon zealots. Join the crowd, be apart of the Saban bashing cult. It's free and so easy to do! Sign up today!
I'll take a coach who lied the same lie a few times to the Almighty and nothing less than Angelic and Perfect Media, who followed his heart, took less pay than in the NFL, and feels comfortable just coaching in college football, than a coach just doing it for the money.
