1. Southern California - Most likely preseason #1. They will be loaded again and John David Booty will be a top 5 heisman candidate more than likely. I do think that they will have 1 loss during the season though.

2. Florida - I believe Tim Tebow will step in and fully run Meyer's spread option offense flawlessly. They have had a top three recruiting class for the last 5 years so I do not see a drop off in talent from this year's team. Percy Harvin will be a Heisman candidate and the next BIG gamebreaker in CFB. Watch out SEC!!!!!!

3. Michigan - With Henne, Hart, Manningham, Arrington, and Long coming back, the wolverweasels will definetely be very good next year. I also think that they have something to prove since none of these seniors have ever beaten OSU and after getting smacked by USC and having 4 straight bowl losses. They also have OSU at home this year.

4. LSU - Defense will be great and I don't think a new quarterback will matter much IMO. I think that this will be Florida's toughest game IMO.

5. West Virginia - Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, etc.......How hasn't anyone stopped this yet? :headscrat They will be good again with White and Slaton returning. No one in the Big East will stop them and they will probably make it to a BCS game with no problem.

6. Texas - With Colt McCoy maturing, he will put up big numbers and lead Texas to a great season. I wouldn't be suprised if they went undefeated. Mack Brown has loads of talent just like USC and Florida.

7. Louisville - This is probably my most effie pick. They are only ranked this high as long as Brian Brohm comes back and their backup RB preforms as well as he did this year in the absence of Michael Bush. With Bobby Petrino gone along with Michael Bush, they probably will end up with a few losses.

8. Ohio State - OSU just like Texas, Florida, and USC, has loads of talent and along with the easiest schedule in recent history, the Buckeyes should breeze through the year until they play Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State. We are breaking in a new quarterback this year so it will be a challenge but we also have 3 guys capable of stepping in. We have a good recruiting class coming in and shouldn't lose too much on offensive play next year. I think that our defense will again be our fortay as Tressel is a defensive coach. We will probably have a few losses next year and the scUM game is the scariest.

9. Arkansas - Mustain and McFadden, watch out. Should put up some great offensive numbers but I don't think that they can out gun Florida in the SEC. I think that Florida and Arkansas will play again for the SEC title. McFadden will surely be the preseason Heisman favorite.

10. Wisconsin - PJ Hill and the Badgers should be very good next year again with a pretty good defense. They will probably have a loss or two.

I'm assuming scUM refers to Michigan; right? Down here it refers to Miami or Thug U..

I agree. Looks pretty good. I have a feeling Auburn may be in there(maybee in place of Arkansas) but well see.
So OSU plays the badgers next year huh? Should be a good game!

Man if you guys could put Iowa, Wisky,UM & PSU on the schedule and go undefeated with that then you could argue that your schedule was pretty darn tough. You are picking up what will be a highly ranked wisc team but too bad your droping an Iowa team that could do well in the big 10 next year.

Iowa was supposed to be the next best thing since sliced bread this year and they were plagued with injuries and got throttled at Indiana. They have a good coach but without Tate, they will not be very good. Indiana I think has a good chance of being next years Rutgers. They have some good talent coming in with Hoppener as their coach. Their quarterback, Kellen Lewis plays very similar to Troy Smith, but is not very consistant week to week but has a lot of potential. They also have James Hardy a 6'7" reciever that did play basketball and found out that he is better at football. He runs like a 4.4 forty and that is bookin for being that tall. I think last year he was honorable mention all american reciever or something.

I don't think PJ Hill for Wisc is that good. Against the only 2 teams (Mich, Ark) he played that had a defense this year he didn't break 50 total yards for those 2 games.
That dude isn't going to get any better once he discovers all the fried cheese in Madison. Even though at 240+ it looks like he already discovered them.

Yeah but you have to admit that Miami is just as scUMmy too. They'd shoot you.

Nice job Killer, nice sig pics too, lol!

My gut feeling right now is that you've got the prime candidates covered, pending a careful review of each one's schedules. Once we get through Spring ball, we will all have a better idea of how things should stack up to start with.

As I sit here right now, there are perhaps 30 teams which I will pour over outside of your list, for History teaches us that after you decide on each Conference's contenders it never fails that you've overlooked somebody like a Rutgers or next season, a South Florida!

The annual members of the Top 25 are just as likely to be there again and while a few will likely struggle through rebuilding seasons, it is never a bad idea to start with the Historical AP Top 20 as a beginning.

Don't you know we're winning a max of 7 games next year? Have you not been reading this site?

Get with the program, man.

LOL. Sarcasm? No really Auburn has shown me no signs of slowing down.Your only problem is the west has grown more competitive with Arkansas stepping up and Alabama hiring Saban. In your last 40 games your 35-5, second in the nation only to USC, 37-3.
BTW... How does a team go 35-5 with no national championship (or shot at one for that matter) and USC goes 37-3 and has two national championships with three shots? Can some one say BCS? Because I can say BS!

Best one I heard this year was "Buckeyes Couldn't Score". Not generally the case, but it applied in the title game. :)
