Speaking of field goal kickers; I said I thought Hetland would be up for the NC game. That turned out to be just another understatement in the National Championship game. I think he deserves all the credit in the world for overcoming his problems and proving how smart Meyer was in letting him kick in the NC game. That kid came to play, just like every other Gator on the field, and nailed his kicks like he hadn't had a problem all along. He absolutely drilled field goals of 42 and 40 yards straight down the middle, and made all 5 extra points. He made fools of all the pundits who said Meyer doesn't want to do any kicking. Here's to the unsung hero for overcoming a rough regular season.

I thought about that to and I agree. 2-2 from 40 or more yards. Not bad!

When Hetland nailed that first FG...man, he crushed it! It was right down the freakin' middle...I turned to my buddy and said..."It's ooon".
