This will probably be my last post for a while until football rolls back around, so I thought I would ask everyone "What was your most shocking or best moment in the SEC this year ( and yes Florida I am sure it is the NC, I can't blame you ), mine would have to be two games, Vandy over Georgia being it was at Georgia and their hc game, and Auburn upsetting Florida, even though they pulled off the NC.
What's yours?

Mine is Auburn upsetting UF. Without that, we'd have never won the National Championship. We needed a wake-up call, and that did it.

For Ole Miss it was getting hammered at home by Wake Forest who had just lost their starting QB and RB. Of course it turned out to be somewhat ok since they won the ACC and actually did pretty well against Louisville but blah. They only attempted 7 passes that game :(

Yeah, I wasn't expect an "Ole Miss" fan to bring up a loss, even though that is shocking. I would say Ole Miss most shocking moment's were all the close calls with some big teams and just could not pull off a win

Those aren't shocking. That's every Ole Miss season. Shocking would be actually pulling it off ala Florida in 2002 and 2003.

most shocking moment for me was watching Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder officiate the LSU - Auburn game
best moment would be the irony of matching scores in the ND thumping and OSU domination in back to back weeks. the SEC dramaticly layed wood to the two most beloved and favored teams in the country.

Best: LSU's lathering of the Irish, that helps me out up here in Domer-land. Again, thanks! Close second was the lathering UF put on Ohhowihateohiostate....they'll be licking those wounds for a long, LONG while & that does nothing but make my heart feel good! http://webpages.charter.net/connectingzone/agree/22.gif
Worst: I have 3....three blocked kicks by a Gator who should have been suspended for the game & ultimately wound up costing us the upset bid in Gainesville. Sour grapes, I know but even UF fans have to admit the move to suspend him the week after (against W. Carolina) was weak. Who'd have thunk he'd get a hand on 2 FG's and an XP in a one point game? http://webpages.charter.net/connectingzone/mad/10.gif

Most shocking: stomping Auburn in their own house with a boatload of injuries and a freshman quarterback. I didn't think we had a prayer in that game...Man, am I glad that I went!

That was the most shocking, for sure. Made a few $ on it, though, because I just felt there was no way UGA was going to lose again, and they were going to play like their lives depended on it. No shortage of people willing to take that bet.

Yea, Wayz pointed out that Meyer went to the Shula School of Most Opportune Spankings instead of doling out immediate punishment.

I second that!!! I'm so glad I got to see that game live. I also TIVOed it, and have yet to bring myself to delete it. Of course, it could be another seven years before UK goes bowling again....so, I must savor this bowl victory as if it will be the last.

I would have to say UGA vs. AU. I though Brandon Cox was color blind or needed perscription lenses after that game. UGA secondary had more receptions than AU recievers.

I would say that the most shocking moment for Arkansas was when Fish fumbled the Florida punt in the endzone for a TD against Florida. Not saying that it caused us to lose or even that its his fault, but at the time we were up by 4 and had all the momentum in the world before that play.

Yea, Wayz pointed out that Meyer went to the Shula School of Most Opportune Spankings instead of doling out immediate punishment. Yeah; Lord knows that's only indicative of a very few coaches in CFB. "The Genius" did some of that as our coach in the '90's, too. Might be why we haven't heard an uproar from the Ol' Ball Coach. Sounds like premature grapes to me.

I was most shocked with our game with Georgia.
You guys will laugh but when Vandy hung in there with Mich. at their house early in the year. I knew the SEC would good from top to bottom as a conference. Vandy's play on the road shocked me.

When I saw that game, I feared UK wouldn't win an SEC game. I think your comment is insightful.
As to the AU-UGA game, UGA had the red-ass from the UK game, since they lost to us. Losing to Kentucky, in football mind you, has serious psychological implications!! Richt and Co. took the pain from that loss and turned it into a can-o-whoop-ass. I was shocked by their turnaround, too. They could have easily mailed in the rest of the season, but instead went on to wins over AU, GT, and VT.

Nah. Vandy's been threatening the big boys for the last few years. Took UF 3 overtimes to beat them a year ago. It's probably the most embarassing LOOKING game. I'm just glad UF wasn't the school they used for the coming out party. The UGA loss to UK and almost getting bent over by MSU makes the Vandy game not that shocking. They did a great job of salvaging their season.

for me the best is AU v UGA and VT v UGA. During both of those games I was speaking in tongues. Way too exciting.
Shocking... I would say ARK v AU. Its not as shocking in retrospect, but at the time I could not wrap my mind around it. But I was tailgating for the UGA v UT game, and had no idea what was in store for me the next few weeks.

Actual moments:
Best:
Tough call between...
1. Trevard Lindley's interception that sealed the deal against UGA
2. Marcus McClinton's first down on the fake punt from our own 20 against Clemson
3. Demoreo Ford's 70-yard TD catch one play later
Most shocking:
1. Marcus McClinton's first down on the fake punt from our own 20 against Clemson
2. Auburn's blocked punt
3. Vandy's field goal
Games:
Best:
1. Music City Bowl
2. UK 24, UGA 20
3. UF 41, tOSU 14
Most shocking:
1. Vandy 24, UGA 22
2. MSU 24, Bama 16
3. Either of LSU's losses. I still think they were good enough to go undefeated.

MSU over Bama... #1 on my list any day. I knew we looked bad all season, but that game was just someone twisting the dagger that was already driven into our back.
But at least it gave Croom a "quality win" (using this term loosely here) for the season. He'll be around MSU for at least a few more years.

LSU knocking Arizona into oblivion

I was surprised there were no incidents with the cheerleaders in the SEC, like with the hottie over in So. Cal.
Of course, one of the male UT cheerleaders did drop his pants in front of a middle-aged woman who proceeded to smack him on the cheeks. The facial cheeks, not the butt cheeks... jk
