He has accepted the DC position at NC State with Tom O'Brien.

He got steadily worse over four years, had UK at the bottom of the nation defensively this year, and got $500,000 from NC State -- a $300,000 raise.

This has been a good week for the Wildcats!

You know, before I opened this thread, I thought it was going to be about Archer getting fired. If UK's defense were as good as its offense, they would have probably won the SEC, if not the whole enchilada.

I was certainly thinking he got fired too...I dont see any reason to pay that man a half a million dollars a year  Oh well, I guess its a win/win situation: Archer gets a raise and UK gets to find a better DC. Another step up for the SEC and another step down for the ACC. But how about this interesting little tidbit- In a few short years NC St. has gone from Reggie Herring to Mike Archer:ohmy:...talk about a downgrade.
