I gave analysis of the LSU-Notre Dame game because it was close at half, but last night's game didn't need much of one.

I agree. All we can really talk about are the excuses everyone is giving the (shrinking) nuts.
Here's my favorite reply to an excuse: "Congratulations, Captain Excuse. You've been promoted to Major Excuse."

the heisman trophy jinx is in full effect.

Don't forget:
Florida is more used to the heat.
Superman blocks for Tebow.
Chris Leak is too pretty.
Why were all those people clapping for me upside down?
Troy Smith was born in the ghetto.
Urban Meyer's tears made the field wet.
University of Phoenix stadium? I don't see a university around here.
Chuck Norris was Tebow's fullback.

OSU fans are bragging on the big 2 boards about Tedd Ginn jr's TD run back and using that to admonish SEC speed! Bwahahaha!
First off, Tedd Ginn jr had a little help from Mr. Hold and Mrs. Refnosee
Secondly our defense proves SEC speed. OSU proves Tedd Ginn jr. speed.

14 seconds of utter domination. So if the rest of the big ten could've endured the first 14 seconds OSU would have never made it this far. So this also proves the SEC not only has speed, but mental toughness, lol.

I know we got killed last night. But whose to say that OSU couldn't beat Florida, LSU or such. If Florida and OSU played 10 times, do you think that Florida would win all 10. NO WAY! They had a bad game and Florida had a perfect game.

they'd win at least 6. you're coach sucked last night and whose to say he wouldn't suck again. I don't think LSU or Florida could beat Ohio State 10 times, but I guarantee they'd win more times than not.

I could agree with that, but I think it would be 5 to 5 in a series. Yes, Tressel could suck again but that is a rarity for him. He is usually a good big game coach. We were outcoached! Congrats to Florida.

They wouldn't win all ten. But, they'd win nine. I kept trying to tell you guys about the speed theory. Our front 4 were on Troy's front porch all night. That's all we had to rush, plain and simple. They were too fast for your huge linemen. On offense, not only didn't you not stop us, you didn't even slow us down. I couldn't tell whether the OSU O or D was slower. We kept telling you we held the same LSU team that beat ND 41-14(ironically), to 10 points. Hell, if you'd been called for the hold on RFN during the kickoff return by Ginn, you'd have lost even worse. Any of the top 6 schools in the SEC could beat OSU on any given day! We didn't score that many points on any SEC team. The only team this year that had a comparable score was Southern Miss.. We only beat them 38-7. Face it. Y'all went 12-0 against a bunch of second tier teams. When you faced the kind of team we faced every week, you were toast. UF players ran circles around those OSU guys. The UF players were even looking in the stands as early as the second quarter; smiling and shaking their heads. They already knew y'all weren't going to be able to keep up. I bet it was really a surprise to see they weren't just fast; they're tough as hell. Coming up with weak excuses is pathetic. Now's the time for the healing. And the first step is honesty. Honestly, the "big" Ten isn't anything special, and pales in comparison to the SEC. The best in the SEC is so much better than the best of the "big" 10, the game was getting hard to watch. You should be thankful Spurrier wasn't still coaching. He'd have gone ahead and grabbed that extra TD that UF was about to score at the end. This game could have ended up 48-7. This is no longer a debate. A debate is over when one party proves their point. And I haven't seen better proof since O.J. murdered two people. Don't be the jury. They were clueless, too. :brick:

as a fan you've got nothing to feel sorry about, feel ashamed of etc, its beyond your control how your team did..........objectively they did have a bad game but when its a Nat'l Championship game you come in w/a plan and if it doenst work you make adjustments, the players should be playing over their heads.....OSU did none of that, they simply were outcoached and out talented and out performed.........Florida would win 8 out of 10 games, like it or not and if I were you I would have to realize the same thing so no need to take it personal..............we've enjoyed your presence here, your a stand up dude, a good fan

Sometimes the truth hurts. OSU flat out couldn't keep up with our offense or defense. PERIOD. That won't change, no matter how many times you play. You know the definition of stupidity? Repeatedly doing the same thing, and expecting different results. Know what I mean? :azz:

Y'all should schedule for a regular season matchup instead of Texas then. That wayz, there'd be no layoff, injury, geography or weather excuse & it'd make the argument for both conference's fans. I wouldn't mind at all seeing more SEC/Big Ten(11?) regular season matchups. I think it'd be great for college football in general, especially since the two conferences bump up against eachother geographically.

Don't get me wrong; I like Nut, and think he's a great, loyal fan of his team. But, facts are facts. Ginn was not responsible for all of OSU's offense this year; and Tressell knows his way around the field just fine. In fact, he and Meyer were assistants together. He did all he could do. The fact is: UF is a superior team. You can't coach your way out of being completely overmatched. We only rushed 3 or 4 all night, and stayed in TS's grille. If they had doubled up, we'd have sent more. If your receivers can't get open, your QB can't outrun the DL, and your defense can only fart on the UF cheetahs as they race by  , you lose 41-14. Simple.

GatorU, you are right on the money with this. OSU can't beat UF, not unless the two teams played a large series and the Gators were forced to play another strong team the night before each game.
The Buckeyes simply had no answer for UF's speed. Scared to play man on defense, they zoned everything and tried to punish the receivers after they caught the ball. That obviously did not work. Gator receivers were much too fast and shifty easily making first down and first down. Simple out patterns were wide open. The middle of the field was gaping. There was way too much room to give a quarterback with the accuracy of Leak. If the teams met again, what would OSU do? Man up and play press coverage? I don't think so. That would lead to big play after big play. All they could do is try to mix things up a little better and hope for UF to make a mistake.
The reason that OSU looked so bad is because the Gators are that good. The front seven on defense is ridiculous. Forget about running it. Then the defensive ends are lightning coming off the edge to rush the passer.
I did not root for UF in this game for reasons that I have already explained in other threads. I hate the Gators that much. I ain't blinded by it though. I still know what I see and last nite I saw a team far superior to its opponent. Whether you be a Vol, a Sabaniite, one of the many Tigers, or a Dawg, you're better beware of those Gators. With the phenomenal talent and coaching down in Gainesville, this team really could become a dynasty.
Congrats Gators on surviving the rigors of a brutal schedule and dominating in the end.

yeah, if you can drop 7-8 and get pressure, it's going to be a long night for the offense. jarvis moss said that after the first series, the osu tackles knew they were in trouble. that was as dominant up front as you can get.
82 freaking yards......unbelieveable.

Think they'll rename Glendale Gainesville West? Those idiots kept screaming that Glendale was Columbus West. Even that moron, Eddie George, was telling Emmitt Smith that there were 70,000 OSU fans to 20 or 30,000 UF fans. He said it might as well be a home game for OSU. Well, Eddie, how does it feel to get BLOWN OUT:brick: at home?!! :icon_rofl Had the nerve to give ES an OSU visor and one of those gay sweater vests.
