WarEagle's thoughts on UF v. OSU

here is what I got from last night's game.

1. Why is it that everytime a SEC team plays for a NC the brains on ESPN, ABC, & CBS all seem to agree that they do not belong in the game and will get kill?

2. Why is it that eveytime a SEC team does play for the NC they could be considered guilty of "crimes against humanity" once they are finished blowing out whatever over-hyped team is unlucky enough to be offered up as a sacrifice?

3. I want to start the drive to replace the big 10 in the BCS with the WAC or Mountain West. They seem to have better teams to compete in the BCS.

4. People need to get off Urban Myer's case about crying last night. It's football! I have been married for 10 years and my wife has seen me cry twice. Once at the birth of my son, second when Auburn beat Bama with a last second field goal in the late 90's. (both were tears of joy.)

5. We need to stop arguing with fans of other conferences about the supremacy of the SEC in speed, skill, power, strength, good looks, and sheer manliness. If they can't see it by now just pat them on the head, give them a sucker and send them on to the playground.

6. Florida proved themselves to be a truly great team in earning the Championship. I salute you. You have made the SEC proud. Enjoy this, you have earned it!

I also want a UF National champs tag for my ranger, a sweatshirt, a tshirt that boasts the both national titles in football and basketball, a DVD of the BCS NCG and a DVD of the Boisie State and OU, a National Champions cap, a national champions banner, and well you get the picture. :laugh:

Yes you did. I'm going to borrow the excuse Corso gave for Ohio State and say it was because of the long lay off before the game. It makes about as much sense in this case as well. :wacko:

Ah speaking of which, I was going to post it this morning, but they had already changed it. You know that after and during the game the SI championship merchandise website had OSU 07 National Champions with all the hats, books, ect. It didn't get changed until late last night. There was a big deal on hogville about it.

I understand. My office at home is covered in Auburn stuff. Here is an idea for you. Everytime the Gator's have a big win take that Sunday's paper and frame the headline page about the game. If you were there, put your ticket stubb in the frame as well. I started doing this about 10 years ago and now I've got quite a collection. Another thing you can do is get a Gator's football and have only the seniors autograph it each year. Auburn has a "fan day" each year and that's where I get mine. So far I've got each senior class back to 2001.

Yep---congrats on the victory, KY. Enjoy it while it lasts. It may be a long, long time before that happens again. And although the tide is rising in Lexington, the future is bright in Athens.
