West Monroe defensive lineman Luther Davis plans to make his verbal commitment on national TV later today during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on NBC.
Here's the inside scoop for hometown fans:
"It's LSU," Davis said. "Definitely LSU."
As late as Friday afternoon, Davis was still strongly considering Oklahoma's scholarship offer. But after a Friday conversation with LSU coach Les Miles, his mind was made up.
Davis is a member of the 2006 Glenwood SportsCare/News-Star All-Northeast Louisiana team, as well as honorable mention on the Class 5A All-State team.
Davis (6-4, 280) had 39 tackles with three sacks this past season for the Rebels.
Davis and Sterlington wide receiver Ahmad Paige are both scheduled to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
