Great gravy and biscuits !!!!!!!

Croom is about to sign a DT this Saturday right after his release FROM JAIL !!!!!!!

That is right......JAIL .

This guy kicked in the door at his EX-girlfriends residence , pushed her down and broke her arm , then put a beating on the guy that was there at her INVITING.

I gotta bash my own people on this one.........remember MSU fans ripping on Coach O for the head-butting and domestic violence ????

Now the same people are saying that this guy is just a good kid who made a mistake...............hmmmmmmm Wonder what the parents of the girl with the broken arm think????

What happened to Croom's motto...." Be good or be gone"?

This guy hasn't even been good before he arrived.

I guess 950K per year trumps a lot of mottos.

So this is what it's come to in Starkville.

Say what you will about Jackie but he never would have stooped this low. Then again, think of the pipeline Croom could be discovering....

Forget JUCOs, just go to the major prisons in the South.

Actually, signing them AFTER they are arrested sort of cuts out the middle man.

Just for the record, was the guy he beat up a cop?

Let me get this straight....Orgeron doesn't care if the prospect is 11 or 12, he'll recruit 'em & now we have Croom & Co. out scouring the county jails for talent that can contribute right away.

No wonder football in Mississippi is booming. Question though, does faxing his LOI in count as his one phone call or no?

On a halfway serious note, WTF is Croom thinking? I know people out here that haven't got a clue who MSU is and they are howling about this one. One of the BIG-12 boards has a thread that, among other things, pointed out that Stoops kicked off his starting QB for accepting money from a booster, while Croom is actively recruiting from the county lock-up. There are also references to UTK's history of problems. This doesn't make Southern football look so great and reinforces a notion that SEC schools might win at athletics, but are lacking in the character department.

Contract Law 101 Refresher: If a letter of intent is signed on condition of Croom posting bond for this disadvantaged youth does the NCAA consider this a recruiting violation or just the indirect cost of doing business in Mississippi?

So it's come to Jeff Bowers having to be the only coach in Mississippi with some resemblance of sanity and winning. I mean seriously why does Mississippi always find some way to keep on looking foolish? The only time in recent history you guys looked on top of your game was when Katrina hit and even then that was because you were being compared to Louisiana(NOLA specifically).

You can just take this with a grain of salt, but this youngster was serving 1 week in jail, because of an altercation involving his then girlfriend and another man. He has no other criminal record, and he was serving his time in between semesters, so he didn't mess up his academics. This looks really bad on the surface but isn't quite as bad as it seems. But you still have to wonder, why not wait two weeks and this would be a non-story.
