It was Jason Campbell working in the most protected pocket anyone has seen in the NFL in a long time and Carlos Rogers in the Redskin defensive secondary who were largely the cause of the Saints losing today.

Saw that game. Brutal for the Saints. The Redskins actually showed that they can play defense, especially against a Saints team who put 42 on Dallas.
I was rooting for the Saints. On the other hand, my Pats killed Houston 40-7!

Campbell is a Mississippi boy too. For shame.

Wishing he'd come to Ole Miss instead? Or just the fact that he played for Auburn and wound up at the Deadskins?

Wishing he came to Ole Miss? He would have been a good guy to take over for Eli that was neglected in recruiting like all others. But naw, it's just sad to see a guy who shoulda grown up as a Saints fan do the Saints like that.

Oh, I see. So you wanted him to throw the game for the love of the South? jk
I really wanted to see the Saints get 10 wins today. They have two more games I believe, then we'll see if they are playoff eligible. Of course, they are #2 in the NFC right now at 9-5, which shows you how weak the NFC really is and has been for the past few years. Tampa Bay 2002, and the Rams in 1999 are last NFC teams to win a SuperBowl since the 1996 Packers and the Cowboys and 49er's before them.
I want to see the Saints make the playoffs, and I believe they will. It's just head shaking to see such a talented team with an MVP candidate lose to the DeadSkins......at home.

The Saints are already playoff eligible by virtue of the Falcons and Panthers losing.

That's right. Division leaders get an automatic bid. Duh me.

I heard Campbell had a big contingent of fans in the Dome from the Mississippi coastal region where he's from.

Taylorsville is hardly coastal, but I still wouldn't be surprised. Todd Wade, a Jackson native and Ole Miss grad, made his first start at RT against the Saints too :( I'm going to have to express my disgust to his parents the next time I see them!

I may have been thinking of Tylertown, which isn't exactly coastal, either, but moreso than Taylorsville.
