I also read this on rivals, no official link is available yet, but the three players suspended indefinitely are Tray Blackmon, Kevin Sears, and Brad Lester.

TB and KS is no surprise at this point, but Brad Lester?

I talked with a friend of mine who is a GTA at Auburn and he said he heard that Blackmon and Sears had academic troubles (i.e. grades/finals), but he hadn't heard Lester's name.

I just hope CTT can turn these guys around. No word yet on how long/what exactly they were suspended for.

Sears is a senior and should know better after coming off a suspension earlier this year.
Blackmon the same except he is still a freshmen

Lester really surprises me because I met him and he seemed like a really nice kid.

Live and Learn!

Sears nor Blackmon will be missed as much as Lester will be. The good news is Tate will see the ball alot more.

It ain't gonna help! Sears wasn't a starter, but Blackman was.

Hopefully (for the future fo the program) the violations were something along the "skipping classes/grades" lines that are being talked about now, and not drugs/alcohol. If Tray had a violation similar to his first, his career at Auburn may be over. At Auburn we don't give our suspended players ice cream. I hope for Blackmon's sake it was just academics.. he has along way to go in terms of growing up, and if he fails this early he'll be giving away an NFL future and probably any hope of a great education.

Will Irons be healthy for the bowl game?

Will Irons be healthy for the bowl game?

Barring practice mishaps, I think he'll be as healthy as he has been since game 1. As should Brandon Cox. Hopefully freshman Ben Tate can pick up some of the carries that Lester would normally get.

Here is the only part I like about this whole situation.

Here is an excerpt from CTT's statement about these players.

Saying he won’t elaborate on what caused the suspension, Tuberville says that he has some simple guidelines that his players must follow and that is the reason for the suspensions. “Breaking rules,” Tuberville says. “My rules. You’ve got one boss here and that’s me. Everybody has to do it the same.

We'll really miss those guys in the Cotton Bowl. But I am glad to see Tommy Tubberville keeping the standards up for the team. It might be painful in the short term but it pays off big time in the long term.

Here is what I heard. 2 players suspended for academics, 1 for drugs. Im not sure who did what and not sure if it was marajuana or steriods. This came from a great source. Sorry I dont have a link. Blackmon will be the one that hurts, I believe Tate and Irons can pick up the slack for Lester. Dont say this much, but Props to Tubby for doing the right thing.

I don't like him......not even a little bit, but he rules with a heavy hand and I like that. Blackmon is a difference maker, but TT has let it be known that if Blackmon doesn't straighten up and fly right, he won't see the field. Extremely admirable move by Tub. He's definitely not a graduate from the Shula School of Disciplinary Measures.

Man that is one thing I will never understand. You have the world by the short and curlies and just throw it away. If someone gave me a scholarship I would so everything I could to keep it. It sure would be a lot better than all these student loans I'm going to have to payoff.

I was there in legion field, in the eighties, when bamy had a back named Ricky Moore, Mal Moore's son, I think, break loose and ran for a td. It was pouring down rain. Then ol Bo ran one and we won. Bo was one of my favs. Jimmy Sidle was my all time fav though, he would come to the line of scrimmage, his old head bobbing up and down like a turkey head, then he'd get the snap and take off like an antelope. He looked like he was running caz he was scared, whatever the reason, he could flat run.
If you hang around the campus much, you may know me.
