Must be time to cajole another denial out of Nick Saban.

Say this about the Alabama coaching search -- what it lacks in progress, it makes up in entertainment value.

Report(s) speculate that Alabama will wait until the end of the Miami Dol-"fish" season to end and make one last effort to obtain the services of Nick Saban.

Report(s) also state that the "Fish" are being sold!

St. Nick will answer to someone new next season like it or not! Tuscaloosa or Miami?

The longer this drags out, the better I like Bama's chances of getting Saban. I have a hunch that Saban ends up being their next head coach. Now that might not be for the 2007 season, but hey you do what you can... :laugh:

Seriously, though, I'll go ahead and pick Nick Saban as Bama's new coach.

Saban will demand complete and total control....and we all know that's an impossibility at Bama.

I'm not saying it's definitely gonna happen. At this point I'm saying that's my pick based on gut feeling... Call it a hunch if you will...

I just don't see it happening, but you never know.

Personally, I'd still like to see Paul Johnson emerge as the front-runner in the search, but I'm just not convinced that he'd be willing to leave his current position. I think we'll find someone that is a decent fit to keep the program stable and continue moving in the right direction, but I don't think we're in the situation to find the "perfect" fit this time around.
