Maybe the title of this site should be "www.talkcraponbama.com", instead of sec talk. i mean, a majority of the site's discussion is devoted to degrading the "bammer" fans. just a suggestion.

And we're gonna keep degrading and degrading and degrading until you the 'Bama fans wave the white flag of defeat and finally realize that 'Bama will never be back again and 'Bama will never be what it once was.
Hope to be as good as South Carolina is in the East because that's what Alabama is now. Alabama IS South Carolina for now. Spurrier wants to change USC though and he didn't want to come to Alabama.
Alabama will be like the other SEC school that Bear Bryant coached at in no time.

I think you should your name as Orson Scott Card's novel should not be associated with Alabama in any way.

Good idea! But rather than changing site's name, how 'bout we just start a thread or two about all the positives surrounding the Alabama football program instead?
Good luck, without being able to talk about generations past, there isn't really a whole lot of positives to discuss when it comes to Bama. You see Tide-Fan-With-A-Vandy-Avatar, discussions & debates usually revolve around what's happening currently...and currently, the Crimson Tide football program has been its own worst enemy. The Tide loyalists aren't just going to sit around and take it so they fire back with an empty gun & when those arguments get rebuffed (usually in a smartass tone by some bama hater), it turns into an Bama degradation thread.
If you want to discuss something positive about Alabama athletics, this site does have a Basketball section. I hear Jermareo Davidson was OK'd to play Saturday...we could talk about that. That's positive, right? Unless you like Vandy in hoops, I guess dropping 3 of your first 4 games wouldn't be a positive.

Is that right? I've always wondered about that....

The majority of the folks on here don't participate in this crap. Its only a select few who need the assurance that Bama will never be Bama again. Bama will never the same as it was in previous years but I don't think we'll be in this doldrum much longer either.

Yeah, none of it bothers me to be quite honest.

I like bama. Sort of. I usually root for bama as long as they are not lined up across from my gators.
I had to post that smack thread about bama's top 10 just b/c I thought it was pretty funny and they are the only SEC team at the moment who can be easily picked on.
I have nothing personal against Alabama.
I think a few bammers here know that for a fact, I just like to kid around most of the time.

Please!!! When was Auburn College's last NT? 50 years ago? Gotta hand it to those boosters, though. Much smarter to change from paying players to paying officials. Officials don't run their mouths. Just out of curiosity, LSU and UF fans are wondering how much an official costs. Never mind, we don't have to resort to that kind of tactic. Oh, and could you please ask the other farmers to stop vandalizing visitors cars...even when you win? Jordan-Hare is the only place this has ever happened; and I've been to a lot of stadiums.

I dunno if the rest of you have noticed, but the only time Bama really gets flamed is when:
a) Imhotep aka Millenium Eagle makes a thread, posts same pics 30 timea
b) Bama fan is in an argument about something else but runs out of material to work with so he starts calling everyone barners/talks about 12 NC's.
c) Someone starts a thread dealing with the Bama coaching changes and Bama fans get overly sensitive about a coaching vacancy they were begging for just a month ago. They proceed to flame anyone who throws in a joke/farked picture.
Auburn fans, with the exception of Imhotep, are not going out of our way to make these threads. Trash talk forum is not included, because thats what it is designed for.
Theres an ignore feature on the SECTalk forums, and if someone bothers you that much that its making you angry in your personal life, just put them on ignore.
