Bama might be having a hard time finding a coach right now, but one will come. Everyone on here that doesn't pull for Bama is thinking they can't get a coach. Do you'll really think that there's not a big name coach out there that doesn't want to come. I'm not saying coaches are lined up in T-town but there's some out there. It's going to be a challenge to take over the new coaching job there, and that's what makes a big coaching name. If a coach can come in there and turn them around then he knows he can have any college hc thats open. It's not the money there looking for most of the good ones are rich or have enough money. It's to come in there win and make a name for themselves. It's the challenge they want just to see if they can do it. Just to see if they got what it takes to be a winner. Shula wasn't a bad coach he loves his school, but the fire was missing in him. I never once seen him get upset on the sideline. You got to get mad sometimes and show that you are here to win. Anyway Bama will find a coach maybe the right one maybe the wrong one they got a 50% chance though he will either win or lose.

No it just seems that way 'cause you're a fan and you hate to be in this situation. Any of us would hate it too. Very few really believe you won't find a good coach. Whoever believes that is really off-base, IMO. You're paying the price for being arrogant of your past. And for assuming you'd fill the spot immediately. That's what you're hearing from the fans that don't wear Crimson. Alabama fans should suck it up, hold their head high, and start acting like they believe the hype they've been spewing.

I think that there are plenty of coaches out there who want the Bama job, the problem is they don't have the last name of a champion. Bama's best bet would be to grow a pair, and hire a great coordinator from the NCAA/NFL who really wants to win.
Worst case scenario (if they follow the above plan)- the coordinator is so-so (much like shula), and for the next 2-3 years Bama keeps an eye on the coaching market for big name coaches whose contracts are coming to a close. Then they can go after a coach who isn't already happy where they are at.

It has nothing do with that I'm a fan. Look at USC a couple years ago before they got Lou Holtz. Everyone was amazed that he was coming to coach there. Won them two Outback Bowls and didn't have to much success after that. Then the rumors started with Spurrior and by the end of the season he was there and no one could believe it. Two great coaches came to school with no history what so ever. Why did they come to see if they could make them a winner. They wanted a challenge and thats what I'm saying.

Is this a multiple choice question because I'm screwed if it's not??
A. Yes
B. No
C. All of the above
Uhhhhhmmmmm.....I'll take "C"
Ding, Ding, Ding....."tell him what he's won, BoB!!!"
You've won another vowel to add to your alphabet and another semester of remedial writing. Also, you've won a bonus prize of a second straight appearance in the Independence Bowl for the use of a double negative!!

won't the list of possible available HC's pick up once the bowl season is done? There may be coaches out there that are leading lower-level colleges to bowls, but do not want to tip their hands...[/dodging bullets]
