As you may or may not know Hoover lost Saturday in the ^A title game to prattville
What I'm sure you don't know is that my friends and I rented a room at the Mariot in Birmingham to throw a Christmas party . Guess what football team stayed on our Floor???? You guessed it the Hoover Bucs. With all the cameras and two-a day crew hoopla. Well we got acquainted with some of their players and so on.... to make a long story short a few of them were up very very very late taking shots with us. None of them were starters but one. The drunkest of the bunch was their starting punter. The one who dropped the snap on their opening possesion leading to a blocked punt and TD for Prattville...... Reminds me of Varsity Blues hahaha

Based on all of the Two a Days coverage and the fact that we're looking to move to Birmingham, I watched the game on CSTV. This clears a lot up. I was pulling for Prattville but I made several comments to my wife about Hoover looking sluggish. I guess I should have said hungover instead.

Yeah they were slugish. You know what? Their coaches were nowhere to be found. They let a bunch of high school kids run loose in birmingham all night long. No curfew. nothing.
What parts of Birmingham are you looking into. Seriously, being from here I can tell you where you would want to live and where you wouldn't want your worst enemy to live. Birmingham is really 3 cities

They're high schoolers, they like anything alcoholic and illegal, doesn't matter what it tastes like.

I'm an adult yes, but I'm 22. Not like I'm 40. If you think about it these kids are going to get drunk no matter what. By letting them drink with us I kept them from running the streets of birmingham and getting killed. The way I see it I did the responsible thing..... lol. You must have never had any fun

Well, keeping them sheltered and not allowing them to run loose and into trouble is commendable. Although (not questioning your judgement here, I've been drinking since 19) you could have tried to convince them not to drink. But who knows what that would have lead to....
So, yeah. Though, I wouldn't mention any of this beyond the borders of this forum.

coaches were no where to be found. We were just having fun. Yes, I could have told them not to drink but hell they were half drunk when we met them. I didn't shove it down their throats. Yeah, totally keeping this to me and my friends wally. Would hate to be on an episode of two a days going to jail.......lol ahahahahahahaha I caused hoover to lose, jk not really ....but kinda serious

Well, it's all said and done. But I wouldn't recommend doing it again. I think people would start to suspect something is up if they started performing poorly for no reason.
Like the QB throwing the ball to the mascot then tackling him.....yeah..

Very funny... Just kidding. Though that would be quite the devious plan if it were true. Get kids drunk, then they play poorly the next day.....yep. A real winner.

I post at a buccanneers (Tampa, not Hoover) board and there is a guy there who is a camera man for the Hoover show. This was his response...
"send me a link to the board. I shot a scene with said kicker today. It wouldn't
surprise me if the story was true. Hoover was flat. It could have been the emotional
let down after beating their arch rivals the week before. Or, they were over confident.
Doesn't matter. Pratville did what they needed to do to win. Blocked punt hurt and
so did a weak ass punt later on."
