Apparently, Tommy Bowden was in Birmingham yesterday for almost seven (7) hours.

Could this be the next coach at Alabama?????

Nah. Tammy was looking to Smeagol some recruits. Alabama isn't that desperate yet.

The only think that strikes me as being odd, other than Alabama having ANY interest in Bowden, is Clemson letting him use THEIR plane to go interview with Alabama. Just don't see it.

Please no no no, I like that Tammy is at Clemson. He seems to have lost that team to a certain extent & just about anyone would be an improvement.

My guess is that the desperation would have to be mutual.

I'll go with you on that autiger. I doubt Bowden was in B'Ham for coaching business. Did you see Pratville smack Hoover? I saw the game last night. Ross Wilson, JPW's brother got whacked hard in a helmet to helmet tackle.

I bet he's glad he is coming to Bama to play baseball. He sat out for a while before coming back in. His father came out of the stands to check up on him.

The Bowdens are from Birmingham, so my guess is it's a family visit.

1. I went to football camp several years at Furman and competed with/against the offensive linemen from Prattville at the time. Those kids were huge and were amazing football players.

2. Please don't take Tammy from us. We finally have him right where we want him. We've got a better coach and much better athletes on the way. It doesn't look like it now, but our class is going to whip their's on NSD. Please, please, please let Tammy stay.

Not gonna happen this year. They aren't in it with any big name guys who haven't committed.

Man..... what a dilemna.

On one hand it would be sooooooo sweet to see Clemson lose their head coach and that program to fall apart.

On the other hand, Tommy Bowden is a very average coach and chances are that whoever Clemson got would be an improvement.

What to hope for, what to hope for........

Is it a possiblity that Tommy Bowden is interviewing for the Athletic Director / Head Coach at UAB?

Well, he does have Birmingham roots and his diddy did coach at Samford back when it was still called Howard College.
