I am sure all will agree when I say that Notre Dame is severly overrated. They will be owned by LSU by 3 or more touchdowns. I am tired of ND getting all these "special" privilages just because there Notre Dame (NBC tv contract, reebok contract, and Auto BCS game if they are 12th or better). Come on. They are more deserving teams other than ND, like Wisconsin, Auburn, and Arkansas.

Once again I agree with you 100% The automatic BCS bid is bad enough but whats worse to me is the fact they are and ind. team. At least have the balls to join a conference!!!

They don't want to share any money with a conference like everyone else does.

and lose a $60 television contract
and lose its individual licensing fees (next time you go to a store and see a t-shirt or hat, look on the label. It has to be officially licensed by the NCAA and Notre Dame. No one else does that)
and lose its freedom to schedule
and give up its general independence for isolation in the Midwest (i.e. recruiting)
It would be hard to force Notre Dame into a conference, but it can be done through an ultimatum from the BCS. Tragically, Notre Dame makes a lot of money by being in its current situation, and the BCS makes a lot of money by having Notre Dame in BCS games (attendance, TV rating, sponsorship).

Yeah they don't want to join a conference so they can look good bye beating up on the service academies. LSU is going to make Jimmy Clausen wish he would've followed his brothers footsteps to Tennessee instead of ND.

I agree with you there but I'd take out Wisconsin. They have played on one with the exception of Ohio State who they lost to. They have play sissy teams and dont deserve to be #7 in the country.

Actually that was Michigan.
OSU and Wisconsin didn't play each other this year and had Michigan lost to Wisconsin, we would have had a major Big 10 controversy over 2 teams that were undefeated.
Just 1 more reason a Conference Championship should be forced upon the Big 10, Presidents and ADs be damned.
