As far as recruiting at MSU, here's what we have so far . . .

looks like a total of 27 committs and 3 soft(waivering) committs. Only 4 4star players and 1 other 4 star on the fence. Pretty sad but what can you expect after 3 consecutive 3 win seasons?

JC QB Drew Branch seems interested but I'm not sure why we have not offered to him.

I would say 4 four star players is pretty good considering the state of the MSU program at this point. It's not exactly the easiest task to recruit against other West teams in that region. It wont exactly be a heralded class coming to Starkville...but all things considered I think its a pretty decent job by the staff.

4 star QB Josh Riddell has committed to State. This gives us a QB with some serious skills. I now look forward to Co-Eric Reily to re-affirm his committment to the Dawgs. According to Scout.com we have climbed back to the 25 spot on the recruiting nation list. We have picked up 2 QBs this week. One JUCO and one high schooler. I think Croom and company have done a pretty good job of going and getting what we needed this year. Much,Much better than last year!

here's the link to Scout.com . . . check it out!

If you guys go back and look at Spurriers first two recruiting classes they are not loaded up with high profile guys, it is mainly two and three star guys with the occasional 4, they have produced quite well for us. You have to trust your coach and give him time to get networked in the high schools. No offense but for a team that only won 3 games I think you guys are doing well.
