Redshirt freshmen Ciron Black and Ricky Jean Francois have been named to the The Sporting News’ All-SEC freshmen team. Black started all 12 LSU games this season and improved in each one. Black's improvement as a run blocker was one of the reasons why LSU's running game improved the last half of the season. Jean Francois only started one game but played in all 12 games and was a force for LSU opponents to deal with in the second half of most games. Black and Jean Francois should be All-American candidates before leaving LSU.

Now let's hope that Les can use that talent effectively. Remember, Bo and Jimbo won't be in Baton Rouge forever to pick up the slack for you.

Jimbo is an invaluable part of the LSU Offensive Scheme. Les alone could handle it, but it takes a special kind of offensive mind like Jimbo to really kick things into high gear.

yea, just too bad he blows at developing QB's
russel would be competing for a heisman if he had gone somewhere more QB friendly

JRuss will do well in the Draft though, you watch and see.

yea, i expect him to be a mid 1 rounder. he could have been great in college, but he WILL be great at the next level. he's built for it. i hope the saints grab him personally. they need a solid backup/future franchise QB

Keep it down home, it'll keep JRuss close enough to family in Mobile too.

The Saints don't need Russell. They just invested $60 million in Drew Brees. They'd have some major cap issues if they were going to invest another $60 million in the backfield.
