Though he didn't have the best of seasons, this certainly puts that in perspective and shows how little that matters in the big scheme of things. He's an outstanding guy and the thoughts and prayers of the Bama nation go out to him during this difficult time.

Ken's a good man and at this time I also ask that we remember those that lost their lives in the tragic Huntsville bus accident this past Monday. The current death toll is at 4.

yes, agree i have a teenage son and that is all i could do after hearing the news was to thank god and pray for the students and their families...when we send our children off we hope that we are going to see them return....but god has his agenda and we are not to question but we only pray that our loved ones will be safe and come home to us....god be with all of the families and the students...

Actually, Darby's father has been very ill since August, could this have played a factor in his performance this year?

good point. Very well could have. I lost my mother when I was 16 and had a pretty bad baseball season my junior year after a stellar sophomore year. I never really recovered until I graduated high school. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Darby family

Any time of year is tough to lose a loved one. This time of year only makes it worse! Prayers to Darby, his family and for the ones lost in Huntsville school bus wreck. May God Bless!

Yeah, I live in Huntsville and it has pretty much been the talk of the town. It's crazy how a bus would fall off of an overpass. From what I hear when I watch the evening news is that a student was probably racing the bus causing the accident.

I drive over the overpass where the bus went off and now it will never be the same when i drive over it.

i'm forty-five and in 2005 from feb to sept i lost three grandparents in the knoxville area....two grandmothers in feb and a grandfather in sept.....it has been very hard and i can not imagine doing this in high school or college....i really believe that this may be the reason that his season has been so dismal, because he was expected to do so well this season....may god be with him and my prayers will be with him and his family....
