It seems like every year there are three or four teams out of the SEC that just crush there coaches, and yes I am talking about Ole Miss as well. I was just wondering if it has always been this way. Now everyone is talking about booting Shula, I thought he was a good coach. It just seems like everyone wants to boot there coach when they don't go undefeated or win a championship. I have probably said some bad remarks about coach"O" but who cares, I just wish we could stick someone. What's your opinion on all the "boot the coach" talk going on lately?

Altogether confusing, to sum it up. I want Alabama to find their way out of this hellhole they have been in since probation hit. I have said Shula needs to go. But I may eat my words.

Having joined the SEC last (well, US(C) and ARK), I don't know as much about the history of the SEC prior to our involvement, but speaking from USC only, I know we are quick to run off a coach.
It is hard to ever achieve anything if you don't have long enough to build a solid foundation.
We just live in a world where people want what they want and they want it RIGHT NOW!
Kind of reminds me back when I first got married (divorced now, but that's a different story), my mom made comments about how "young people" are in such a rush to own and have everything that their parents have. Of course she told me how it took them their entire lives to reach that point.....
Anyway, I think fans and society in general is very greedy and expects to get what they want overnight.

Big Contract today mean big expectations TODAY! Don't feel bad for these coaches. If they have a good agent, like Shula does, they walk with the money anyways.
TaySC, I agree with you and your mother. We live in a microwave society!! Take the Campbell soup commercial as the perfect example! Gitterdone in 2 minutes!

I heard someone say once that we all want to obtain, in 3 years, the same thing it took our parents 30 years to obtain. Very true, indeed.
