Here is one Bloggers take on the Power shift in Sweet Home Alabama.
What do y'all think? How long will it last? How bad will it get? Will it ever turn around? Will they dig up the Bear?
Also some good smack below the origional post!

What a great read! As of right now I would rank the Alabama teams as
1) Auburn
2) Troy
3) Bama
4) UAB
5) Al. St.

You must really hate Alabama to put Troy above Alabama. Living 45 minutes from Troy, I realize that Troy has a decent team. But they are definitely below Alabama.
Plus, UAB, who is having a bad year, beat Troy 24-3 this year.

I'd say Troy are better at THEIR level compared to Alabama but in a head to head match up Bama would win.

LEE COUNTY COMFORT-SING TO THE SONG OF "SWEET SOUTHERN COMFORT"
From the "Sweet Southern Comfort" Tune.
Written and performed by: Willie Nelson, just for us Awbarn fans! How you like that Alabammer? We gots us a song now!
Manure smellin' up my hometown,
Stacks of snuff cans bout knee high,
Miss Louella down the dirt road,
Dirty undies on the line,
Bubba Lewis there with Roy Lee,
Drinkin' all of pappy's gin,
Reminiscin' about the southland,
Auburn's where it all begins.
From Opelika down to Wire Road,
Smell the landfill and dead possum,
Sleepy Sweet Home in Lee County,
Wah Ig-gul(War Eagle),
Muddy water, in the bathtub,
Cousin Gracie whispers to me,
Marry on, Marry on,
Sweet Southern Cousin, Marry on,
Dodgin' sewage in the river,
Chasin possums by the creek,
Kissin Debbie, she's my sister,
On the lips Homecomin week,
With dusty yards and weeping widows,
Junk cars all out in the yard,
Just a snapshot of downhome Auburn,
Could be anywhere you are,
From Opelika down to Wire Road,
Smell the landfill and dead possum,
Sleepy Sweet Home in Lee County,
Wah Ig-gul,
Muddy water, in the bathtub,
Cousin Gracie whispers to me,
Marry on, Marry on,
Sweet Southern Cousin, Marry on....
As I sit here I'm surrounded,
By these worthless memories,
I don't have to think about it,
This ain't no place I'd wanna be.
From Opelika down to Wire Road,
Smell the landfill and dead possum,
Sleepy Sweet Home in Lee County,
Wah Ig-gul,
Muddy water, in the bathtub,
Cousin Gracie whispers to me,
Marry on, Marry on,
Sweet Southern Cousin, Marry on

Well, since Troy has only dropped one game in conference play, at their level, they are better than every team on the list, including Auburn.
Head-to-head matchup is the only way to look at it. If my son's High School team were undefeated, they'd be better AT THEIR LEVEL than all the team's listed by AUBlaaaake, but they sure as heck wouldn't be better than any of the teams listed.

Focus Guys! Focus! The point is Bama is not #1 and that is like Peeing in their Schlitz! (Actually that might improve the taste). To me the true power shift is when we win the recruiting war in-state. We usually get our share in-state, but more from Ga, FL, MS, and TN. This recruiting season will be interesting to say the least

Everyone knows that Auburn has the better team at this point. That is not even debatable. My point was that it's ludicrous to put Alabama behind any other team in the state of Alabama. But I don't really have a dog in this fight.

I very much concur..
UAB hasn't shown much when facing SEC teams. Troy (although I like them) is homecoming fodder for big time teams. Alabama St. is Alabama St.
I do have a dog in the fight but he only fights when something of importance is on the line.

Just depends on how you look at it.. Troy (with better coaching) could have finished FSU this year but blew a 4th quarter lead. Teams like Duke (who Troy can definitely play with) had a shot at Bama. All I know is I would be very careful scheduling Troy if I was the Bamzo responsible for scheduling.

no question who is at the top of the pile, but even an Auburn fan can admit our recruiting the last 3 yrs, especially last year and this year is even w/Auburns efforts and that of course, coupled w/good coaching....sheez, usually equates to a certain amount of success.................we're all being impatient as Tide fans but its coming back together to where we will compete for the SEC West year in and year out, no doubt along w/LSU and Auburn
