Hey, guys and gals. I just started a Fantasy Basketball League on Yahoo for anyone interested. The League Name is "SEC Talk" and the password is "secrules". While I understand that many people are busy and can't keep track of their teams daily, the head-to-head matchups are on a weekly basis, so it doesn't take that much time to keep up with your teams. Please at least take the time to get your injured players out of the starting lineups and such. It makes the game much more competitive and interesting for everyone involved.

Thanks for the invite, Im all set. Im not a huge fan of the NBA but im willing to give it a shot.
My yahoo Fantasy Football league is pretty much shot! Matt Hasselbeck & Byron Leftwich are both hurt and every other available QB sucks.

Sorry for the delay. I work 2nd shift, so I keep strange hours. I set the scoring to start in Week 5, which begins Nov. 27. Apparently the weeks run from Monday to Sunday. So far, there are 6 teams signed up. I'd say give it a couple days. I'll have the draft Wednesday night when i get home. I have set the league to autodraft, but if there's a player you really want, you can set the order of the players that you desire. If you do nothing, Yahoo just gives you the next highest player according to their rankings.

I went through and ranked about 3 players from each position, should help. Whenever is best for you, I think we should get 10 teams before we close, I was just interested in when the draft would be.

With Tomlinson so hot lately, you're schooling us pretty well in Fantasy Football (tied for 1st I believe). I'm in 5th place trying to work my way to the Playoffs (4th or better).

Heck no, Neo just derailed my train. At least I'm not losing with 180 pts. anymore. Putting up the points I did, if Neo can beat me, I just gotta say he was the man this week. Having decent bench players sucks though. I can pick two substitutions that would have led to me winning. :brick: :brick:

Okay, there are still 6 teams. I'm not sure how to sticky. Is that something only administrators can do? I guess I'll run the draft tonight around midnight. If you guys can convince some others to sign up today, it'd be great. I don't even know anyone from outside SEC Talk that I think would be interested, so I'm not sure I can help out.

Well from my experience with Fantasy Football, the scores are updated around 3 a.m. ET and the roster changes, sometime after that (I haven't stayed up late enough to see).

Okay, the draft has been conducted. Unlike Fantasy Football, the starting lineups are not set for you based on the rankings, so everyone that's playing needs to logon and set their lineups before Monday in order to get points.

If I really knew what I was doing in basketball, I would trade at this point....but I don't think I should. I have to wait a few weeks and see what my guys are doing. Hell, I looked at some of the guys thinking "who the hell is this" and looked and they're averaging 15-20 pts. per game. I'm WAY out of my league here. This ought to be interesting.

Haha, besides, I just noticed something. Since we only got 6 to sign up, everyone will be in the playoff bracket to determine the league champ. So you can do crappy all year, have 3 good weeks, and be king. Needless to say, G4E will be doing a lot of experimenting for a few weeks.
