Yal've got to take a look at this.

http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/bowls/predictions

We have two SEC teams playing in the BCS Auburn/Florida, but Auburn plays Wake?

They have Louisville playing against OSU for the NC (unfortunately I think this will happen)

However, if Texas plays Boise State there are going to be some pissed off people around the country. Same with Louisville.

South Carolina vs. Georgia Tech. in the Chick-fil-A bowl? Right now i would LOVE that! lol

I still can't get over the Texas/Boise match up in the Fiesta. That will really piss some people off, USC, West Virigina, ect.

Alabama/Miami rematch from 1993 Sugar Bowl* - watered down. Great. I'm pretty sure we'll take the bid.

Arizona State gets two bowl games?
(CBS has them in both the Insight and Hawai'i Bowls)

I was sitting in church thinking the bowl thing over (forgive me God) and unless UT stumbles bad I was seeing us either in Outback or Cotton. After last season, I would take that before the season started.

Wake Forest. Awesome. I'm so excited. I can't wait.

I hope GT wins the ACC so we can play them. They beat our ass in 03 and 05 in the regular season. Payback time.

I think wake winning could be a stretch.. they still have some games to play that could cause trouble... they are still expecting Arkansas to lose to both tennessee and LSU... which I don't mind.. I'd take the cotton (even though we've been there so much) Texas and Boise would really piss me off. Louisville and OSU won't piss me off as much as that crappy Fiesta bowl. The Rose, Orange, and Sugar look pretty cool though.

I think FSU and Maryland are on the Demon Deacon's schedule with one other team. I think they will beat FSU. They may beat MD. May. I don't know about the other team. But with 8 solid wins already, they are bound for a decent bowl.

Hopefully they don't get the shaft just because they are Wake Forest. As far as UofL and OSU. It ain't gonna happen. I don't think the BCS computers would favor the Cards even if they are undefeated. But maybe.

Of course if OSU and UofL did play, it could be dubbed the "Ohio Valley Championship."

I assumed this projection had Arkansas losing the SECCG to Florida.

That would get Auburn, with 1 loss, an at large bid over Arkansas.

You know, I just can't "swallow" this Louisville in the MNC stuff...not saying that the Gators do either, there are several 1-loss teams that will have an argument..but all of us and the media pundits said, after Miami, V-Tech and BC left the BigEast, WVU and newly added UofL would have a smooth sailing to a BCS game. Heck, ESPN even stated there was no way an undefeated BigEast team could make it based on their SOS...now, the Cards are everyones Cinderella team...even though their SOS is in the 50s as far as ranking....anyways, if they do make it, OSU will have a field day, they have something that the Cards haven't seen....a defense.

How the heck do they have South Carolina as the SEC #5? I guess if two teams were in the BCS, it'd really be #6, but l don't see that either. Hell, if Kentucky beats Vandy and Florida beats us, we're staring 5th in the East in the eye.

I bet you said 05 was going to be the payback. That's awfully similar to USC's "wait till next year."

I was at the 05 game. Actually, come to think of it, I was at the 03 game as well.

Both were just sickening.

Honestly, let it happen because if U of L gets murdered by OSU then everyone maybe will figure out that the Big East is in over their heads. I know the Boise State/Texas game does not sound all that fun, but I honestly believe that Boise State is a pretty good football team.

Exactly, and Boise State needs to move into a better conference.

Well, when Reggie's on, they're tought to beat, but having seen Syvelle already this year, Auburn would more than likely be better prepared.

The above is my nomination for runon sentence of the week.

I think Boise and Fresno would make the PAC 10 interesting....plus it would force them to play a championship game. Although knowing them, they'd play 11 conference and 1 non-conf. game.
I'm really surprised that Boise didn't get a little love after Oregon St beat USCw, considering they blasted OSU.

Yeah it's a new thing the BCS is trying this year. Arizona State had a great consession stand this year. It was the highest seller of Hogdogs than any other school. BCS rewards them with an extra game. From what IM hearing Tonmmy Tubberville is already looking ahead and construction is under way for Tommy's Fruit stand for the 2007 season.

Honestly I don't see USCsr losing another game this season, so I see them to be in the Rose Bowl. So you see what that does to the Sugar Bowl match up with Florida and Notre Dame.
But my wish list would be, USC/Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl. Round two would be a better game this go round don't you think?

that would be cool. Doubtful, though. I'm not one to jump on this possible UofL and OSU matchup, we'll see how good or bad they actually are if they end up there. Boise isn't the Utah of 04', so Texas will probably destroy them, and as far as the other matchups go, I'd dig UF and ND and AU vs WF or GT. That Capital One matchup would be pretty sweet in my opinion. It seems like we always play Oklahoma or Texas in the Cotton Bowl, I'd love to take on those Sooooners!

I would kill a man to play in Atlanta at this point. I've been dying to play an ACC school in a bowl game for years. I think it would be a good draw for Atlanta.

For some reason I'm just bothered with the International Bowl. The good teams are suppose to play after December into January. The freaking International bowl on the 6th is really messed up I think. That game should be in December. They don't deserve to be up with the great teams.

I don't know how they have us playing against GT either. It would be a good match up I think and playing a ACC team would be fun. They have a great athletic QB just like SC and have great WR in Calvin Johnson and their defese is excellent. Would be a good matchup but I think it's unlikely because we will be 6-6 probably at the end of the season.

BamaDude06
11-05-2006, 06:28 PM
Just think: The SEC could end up with four 6-6 teams at the end of the season (Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, and South Carolina) .

Right now Bama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, and Florida are bowl elligable. One more win each for Kentucky and South Carolina. I belive this would be the first time the SEC would be able to fil all eight of its tie ins.

Calvin would eat our secondary for lunch in the first half, burp it up at halftime, and eat it for dinner in the second half.

I don't think some of those predictions make any sense. They have Wake Forest at the ACC #5 slot and Boston College at the #2 ACC slot. Did someone forget to tell them that Wake beat BC this week and are 8-1?

Wake Forest has Maryland, FSU, and I think Virginia left on their schedule. They could easily drop 2 of their last three.

(5 of their wins, they were outgained by the other team)

Hopefully, this will convince the SEC to dump CBS' worthless contract. If this happens to the SEC again this year, Mike Slive should be fired, IMMEDIATELY!!!

The BCS bowl lineup became clearer:
Nov. 6, 2006
By Dennis Dodd
CBS SportsLine.com Senior Writer

Tennessee's loss to LSU made it less likely that the SEC is going to snag a second BCS berth. There are three one-loss SEC teams left -- Florida, Arkansas and Auburn.

Strike two off the list as second BCS teams. One of those will win the SEC and play in the Sugar Bowl. The loser would be eliminated from a BCS bowl with a second loss (at least).

The best-case scenario for the league is for Arkansas to win out and play in the SEC title game. Then for Auburn to finish second in the SEC West and wind up 11-1. Then it most likely becomes a pick 'em for the Orange Bowl between the Tigers and West Virginia.

Florida clinched the SEC East for the first time since 2000 by beating Vanderbilt. Arkansas moved a step closer to clinching the SEC West by defeating South Carolina.
