Take a look around.... The lowly teams are on the rise. Here in the SEC, Kentucky is much improved, Vandy is getting better every year in the ACC it's the DemonDeacons, in the Pac 10 it's the Washington Huskies and in the Big 10 I think that Ron Zook has the Fighting Illini playing much better. Is this a trend of whats yet to come? I really hope so! GO UNDERDOGS!!!

Ole Miss, MSU, Vandy, and Kentucky: Suddenly you guys are making the bottom look like it's not so far down.

Congrats, hopefully you guys keep O, Croom, Johnson, and Brooks around for the long haul so that the programs can be built stronger.

all these teams have started playing a lot better... Our Offense at State has looked much better. We should have beaten Georgia. Kentucky could have easily been a win.. Finally we get one, congrats to Mississippi, Kentucky, and MState.

Most surprising teams in the NCAA.... Arkansas, Wake Forest, and Rutgers.

Kentucky is a breath of fresh air. I don't know why, but they certainly are. Vandy isn't half bad. They played Bama and UF hard. They beat UGA. If they were in the ACC and played that type of schedule in the ACC, they'd have at least 6 wins on the season.

And lets give it up for the teams that started out decent but now suck!

Bama and UGA have steadily gotten worse! Who knows what will happen!

Bama was predicted to win 6 or 7 games this year. The sooner fans understand that the better. UGA, on the other hand.....

Georgia was only picked to be third in the SEC east both last year and this year. Last year we rose to the top. This year we're right there in the middle of the pack in the east. People just expected more after us winning the SEC championship last year - including us.

I'm not ready to say UK has turned the corner. We caught UGA at a tough time in their schedule, and still making adjustments to their team, namely at QB. Brooks has brought stability and integrity to the program, and that's exactly what we needed. Will he be the long term answer? I think the jury is still out. I don't really have anything against him, but he doesn't really get me fired up either. I think if we get to 7 wins, he will have earned another year. 6-6 will save his job....but that would mean a loss to either Vandy or UL-MO, which would not bode well to the faithful (no offense, Vandy, but we count on you as a win, just like you guys count on us as a win). If we go 7-5, the entire staff may be retained. If we go 6-6, Mike Archer (DC) will be offered up as a sacrifice of appeasement to the Brooks regime detractors.

I said it in another thread, that if Henig had been QB all season, MSU would have had a much better year. I think Croom earmed another year beating Bama. That's straight up a helluva win beating Bama in their house.....I don't really care how "down" they might be.

Vandy is playing fundamentally sound football. If they continue to get athletes, they will continue to improve. They've played a nasty schedule, especially early, or they'd be better off this year. Johnson is a good coach with the right attitude and demeanor for Vandy football. He is a good fit, and Vandy should do what they can to keep him, in my opinion.

Ole Miss has shown some toughness of late. I think they've had some chemistry issues adapting to Schaeffer, but that may just be an outsiders perspective gone awry. Ultimately, I'm not sold on Coach O yet.
