Georgia went into South Carolina and grabbed arguably the top prospect for the 08' class. I bet Spurrier is upset about that one!

There is still A LOT of time before he signs his LOI. Anything can happen before then. Its a good pick up for now...but I wont get too excited until he signs on the dotted line.

I wouldn't say Spurrier is upset. I'm sure all kinds of stuff can and will happen in more than a year to come.

Not really a steal. He has been a UGA fan his whole life. You are getting a stud though. He has the potential to be among the elite receivers in college football.

Green Not Firm With Georgia Commitment
By Phil Kornblut
Junior WR A.J. Green (6-4 192) of Summerville no longer is solidly committed to Georgia according to a source familiar with Green's thinking. Green announced a commitment to Georgia last October, but according to the source, Green has been telling close friends he no longer is strong with that commitment. "He's saying he doesn't want to go to Georgia to be a decoy," the source said. Green has told some close to him that he feels Georgia's offense is more run oriented and as a receiver he would not be used to his full potential. He's also concerned about the lack of receivers Georgia has sent to the NFL. Green is regarded as one of the top players nationally in the junior class. USC, Clemson, LSU and Notre Dame are some of the other programs strongly involved.

Saw that and that is going to be tough. Hopefully, we can hang on to him. Notre Dame is really moving on him for some reason. That dang humpty-dumpty Weiss is sneaky.
Our WR coach does suck. Eason needs to move to admin. We have a lot of talent and they seem to linger in mediocrity under him. Long way to go. I'm sure the staff's full attention will be on Green once this years class is signed.

Top story: UF grabs Top Recruit for 2020. The prospect has yet to be conceived, but the potential parents say his name will be Joe Johnson. He will be a lifelong Gator fan after he's born. His parents, who are athletes themselves, predict he will be 6'6" and very fast. No word yet on where he plans to attend kindergarten, elementary school, or high school, but sources close to the family think it will be near his home in Central Florida. GO GATORS!!!

that will never pan out. 6'6" and very fast is impressive, but at 12 I question if his experience will be there enough to compensate his lack of strength. Besides, CUM does not believe in multiple-sport athletes, and he will want to go to a school that will allow him to pursue his basketball, baseball AND water-polo (don't ask) dreams in addition to football. And I heard his mom smoked a little of that...you know....., and he'll be born a crack-baby. Plus, the nanny his parents just hired is married to a South Carolina alumnus, so we see where that is going.....
But back to Green: Spurrier is stockpiling quite a small army of WR's in this class. I'm sure a few will be redshirted, but will we have any more room for WR's next class?

SOS will always take WR's. He has to be prepared in case someone else opts for the NFL. In his offensive philosiphy, he can use many WR's. He likes to keep those 5 receiver sets with fresh legs.
We will probably only take 2 or 3 this class, but we'll definately take top tier talent. Avis Commack and AJ Green would be great ones to have.

Update:
The Johnson's had a fight and Daddy is sleeping on the couch, so the conception is now considered a "lean". Mommy is considering other "suitors". If he is conceived, Winona Park Elementary in Decatur, GA will be recruiting heavily. If it's a girl......... Well, if it's a girl, let's hope she's not 6'6"................

Don't let Orgeron hear about this kid-to-be. He'll disguise himself as a room service waiter during the honeymoon and sneak a LOI in with the bill and there'll be nothing UF can do about it. You know how Coach O likes to make first contact when they're YOUNG. :D

After the nanny convinces Mr. Johnson to commit to South Carolina, the former future UF commit & his mother secretly visit ND & Coach Weiss in South Bend. Mr. Johnson soon drops his commit to USC and a couple of days later announces he will be playing for Notre Dame.
