I guess they were dressing for a funeral because f$u football is dead!

Seriously, they are looking at a 4 loss season AT BEST! They still have to play a pretty good Wake Forest team too.

I heard that FSU wore them to honor the Seminole National.

Sean's right. They wore them to honor their longstanding relationship with the Seminole Tribe of Florida. So while FSU wears ugly jerseys out of respect, Florida wears ugly jerseys (see last year's two color Nike debacle) for the sole reason of putting money in their pockets.

Sean's right. They wore them to honor their longstanding relationship with the Seminole Tribe of Florida. So while FSU wears ugly jerseys out of respect, Florida wears ugly jerseys (see last year's two color Nike debacle) for the sole reason of putting money in their pockets.

Actually, I liked the jersey's they wore...bought one off Ebay!!!

And it was a promotional thing done by Nike...not sure if you realize...but all college teams are compensated by Nike, Adidas, Reebok...to wear their apparell....BTW, if I'm not mistaken, Ole Miss is also on Nike's payroll...or have the Rebels switched to K-Mart? :laugh:

And it was only a couple of years ago that the Seminole Tribe of Florida considered a lawsuit against f$u to change their names and stop the "tomahawk chop"...some longlasting relationship you speak of....hey, we stole your land, brought you disease, killed your ancestors...so we're gonna wear black uniforms to honor you...gimme a break.

You quasi-proved my point by purchasing it off eBay. The whole reason for the jersey was to market them in a game so they could sell them later. Other than that, there was absolutely no reason for the jersey to exist.

The uniforms, which pay homage to the Seminole Tribe of Florida, will be all black with garnet numbers and gold trimming, and feature the word "unconquered" on one pants leg and "Seminoles" on the other. The Nike design is based on the traditional colors of the Seminole Indian flag. The Seminole Tribe is often referred to as "the unconquered tribe", as they have never negotiated a formal peace treaty with the United States despite three wars.
