What i mean is trying to force plays when someone is double covereed. if anyone he should know you CANT do that against a good team like florida. I really wish they put flynn in. Hes smarter, and would of brought a whole new element to the game when he runs.

We took away the long ball using cover-2 and -3, so Russell didn't really have many options other than the underneath routes that we left open. When he did go middle-to-deep, we were ready: Smith had two picks--one along the sideline on a go and one over the middle because of Nelson's hit--and one Smith should have had on a mid-to-deep post.

I was especially pleased with our defensive adjustments to the assumptions we made about Less-U's adjustments at halftime. Smith's second INT was a direct result of that--i.e., closing the middle bubble by going cover-1 with Nelson playing shallow center. That's how he got the hit that popped the ball up to Smith in the second half.

Also, Russell is too big and too slow to run with much effectiveness, imo.
