Is it just me or does it seem the SEC has a bunch of future stars coming up at the QB position. Arky has Mustain, UF has Tebow, UGA has Stafford, USC has Smelly, and LSU still has Perriloux. Not really sure what UT has after Ainge but he's got another year or two doesnt he, I think JPW will be really good, not sure what Aub, Vandy, UK, Ole Miss, and Miss St have waiting in the wings.

The SEC has become a QB proving ground. In order to compete with the speed on defense, you have to have a QB with mental speed as well as physical speed who can play the game without having a nervous breakdown. SEC teams are almost all on the same level now, talent not withstanding, as we have seen in recent weeks, your ranking in the nation or in the conference doesn't matter because you can be beaten.

We have an ex-baseball player who signed with Alabama out of HS and the all-time career leading passing in California history.

Vandy's QB (is it Nickson?) has looked good at times.

Let me add another name to the list that will be in college next year.Cody Burns Fort Smith Northside in Arkansas a 7A school and in most likely the best conference in High school in the state is getting a lot of looks. I know Bob Stoops is really hot a heavy on him. Tommy Tubberville is also looking a Cody along with several other top programs.
Houston Nutt hopes he has the lead on his rights as of now. Word has it that Cody loves Arkansas future new offense that Gus Malzahn brought to Arkansas from his HS program. If the hogs can keep with the winning success that they have recently found, look for the Razorbacks to have a stable of fresh young QB's for the next several years.

I think Burns is headed to Auburn. That's what I'd do. He won't see the field for a while at Arkansas. I'd much rather have Rogers offensive lineman Lee Ziemba, who's also choosing b/t the Tigers and Hogs.

Remember this name: Neil Caudle
Auburn QB recruit out of Hoover (I think?)
I've seen him in some top 5 QB rankings, usually no lower than 7. Unless we nab a top 3 recruit this year or next, Caudle is the future at Auburn.

KODI Burns is about all NHS has... He makes that very average team into a true contende. He'll be a good player wherever he goes.

I have to give props to JPW. He's made a few mistakes but overall he has went way beyond what most people expected. He seems to have the playmaker abilty that has been void at QB for a long time in T-Town. Another point from this topic shows that to have this many young QBs in the league that most teams with the exception of UF are rebuilding this year.

Which I find funny, considering all the jokes Auburn fans had about Brodie and his two knee surgries.

i agree..jpw were funny initials around here a few months ago. he was a running joke, to be honest.
he is very accurate, just looks like a freshman when pressure is put on. he is going to be good. needs to learn how to throw the ball away and admit the D will win some downs(which is leak's biggest progression in his 4 years..he has no problem throwing it away and get after it next play).....but has good mobility and may end up with a ring b/f it's all said and done(sec, not nc).
