Which Mississippi school will finish last this year? For the 2nd year in a row Ole Miss and MSU are in a race to see who can finish dead last in the west(and possibly the SEC). Who will it be this year? Maybe we should offer an invite to the Southern Miss Golden Eagles to join the SEC....Who knows.... Maybe we could finish 5,6 and 7.

It's all about the Egg Bowl. I have to give Ole Miss the advantage in that one because MSU's offense is just so bad. Both teams have shown improvement lately, though. Ole Miss hung tough with UGA so I would have to consider them the favorite between the two teams right now.

MSU easily.

Ole Miss is bad , but they are playing a lot of young guys.

Both coaches stink. Coach O-No and Slytanic. At least Coach O has some imagination though and WILL try something different every now and then. With Croom , you can prepare for a game vs. MSU WEEKS in advance because you know what they are going to do , run the ball straight up the gut 75% of the time.

Both are bad coaches , both are bad teams , the difference is Ole Miss is playing a lot of young guys and they will get better towards the end of the year while MSU is only getting good play out of their Seniors. Don't be surprised if they and the rest of the Bulldogs just quit on Croom late in the year as the losses continue.

Come Egg "on your face" bowl time , the Rebels will be the team on the rise while the Bulldogs will be in the final phase of just giving up.

Look for the Rebs to win the Eggbowl something like 24-17 , with MSU scoring a meaningless TD late in the 4th to make the final score look closer than the game.

My sad but honest opinion.

MSU is easily the worst, IMO. I think Ole Miss will squeak out a game [vs. MSU] or two [vs. Vandy (possibly), Ark or Bama (doubtful)] in conference. MSU won't win any.

(How long will MSU tolerate this losing badly before a change is made?)

hahahaha thats awesome AUUU blake... I mean I don't know.. who is worse... I would love to say Ole Miss being a State fan... errr student (born Hogs fan), but I don't know... you think Ole Miss has played better, but the two teams have wins over C-USA schools. I can't say either one... We'll see who is better when the SEC pillow fight special is played on thanksgiving day weekend.

Have you guys seen that video of Coach O on youtube? It's a parody saying Col Reb is crying, and they it has coach O saying Ouyoyouhuoyouoo- Football, sounds just like how he talks! Funny stuff... State will be at the bottom this year, but they did best Ole Miss last year!

I think MSU is prolly the worst. If you Ole Miss folks want to get rid of Coach O, root for MSU in the Egg bowl!! I think a loss there this year will get him canned.

Croom may have written his ticket with the early (this year) outburst against the fans and media.

That Coach O video is downright hilarious, btw!!

that "outburst" wasn't even much of an outburst... the fans and media have pretty much forgotten about it.. Croom's seat is heating up though. But nobody really cares about that little incident.... I think an Egg Bowl victory is possible. I'm not saying that Ole Miss is the worst team.... I'm saying that they both are the worst teams in the SEC west.. probably in the SEC overall.. but we'll see about that today as Ole Miss takes on Vandy.

Yeah, I know it wasn't really that much, but I figured it was ammunition for those that already wanted his head on a platter. I figured there was a vocal contingent keeping that alive. But it sounds like everybody's moved on, that's cool. His merits on the field stand for themselves, right?
You're right about the Ole Miss/ Vandy game being a litmus test for the bottoms of the divisions, and the league as a whole.

MSU will be the better of the two Miss teams in the SEC. Sorry Rebels.

Ace I will have to disagree with you because I have been to both Msu and UofM games this year, our offense is slightly better but ya'lls D is what makes the Dawgs a better team by far, Ole Miss will finish last this season because of Brents big head and lack of trust in his offensive line!!! Write that down!!!

hmmm interesting... I sort of agree with you. I do like our "D" and our offense is getting better. Offensively we still suck... I'm really not sure what we should do with the quarterback situation. I thought Omarr has played really well, and Henig comes in the WVU game while we were only down two TD's and we have two picks thrown (and I know they weren't all his fault).. but you have to wonder at this point what to do? Do you go back with Henig because you know the season is lost and just try to beat Ole Miss.. .after getting a win against JacState and maaaaaybe Kentucky... or do you keep Omarr in?

I'd say go back to Henig.. Omarr can play another position at wideout... I don't think Henig can play another position.. come back, beat Jac State and get confidence heading in to tough road game against UGA... come back home play Kentucky (could win) and go on the road play bama and then Arkansas at home... and then try to get the offense where it needs to be to play against Mississippi
