Here's a nice read from DandyDon...
As for Alley Broussard, I suspect it is a combination of things that kept him off the field Saturday night. Broussard being about 15-18 pounds overweight is one reason why the junior from Acadiana high school in Lafayette did not play, and of course Les Miles wanted to see what Charles Scott could do. Scott had been turning heads in practice the last two weeks. I do believe that Scott has moved up on the LSU depth chart. I would not be surprised to see Scott start against MSU this coming Saturday. I also believe that Keiland Williams will play early in the game. I am looking forward to seeing how Williams performs working with the first team offense. I like Justin Vincent and Alley Broussard, but I believe that Charles Scott, Keiland Williams and Richard Murphy are LSU's running backs of the future.

My take...
In Saturday night's game, Charles Scott ran with real authority, bowling over would be tacklers, dragging tacklers with him, and making excellent cuts. He's a horse. Keiland Williams, I think, has even more potential but as yet has not had many touches and no touches with the first team. If he gets in early Saturday against MSU, we might see some real fireworks from him. And, it even gets better. Rumor is that Richard Murphy is right up there with Scott and Williams in every respect; so, the running game should get better and better.
