Randy Shannon to take over as interim HC...according to Canesport.
Now, they are saying Coker will be kept aboard...for now. He has no room for error, though. Miami pretty much has guaranteed wins in the next 4 games before heading up to Atlanta for G-Tech...if they lose, Coker's gone. Right now, I think they are worried more about recruiting...hoping Coker can make it to the first week of Feb.

Who do you think would fill Coker's shoes? I know Tuberville was an assistant back during the Johnson years, and even if he didn't go down; who's to say one of our assistants(like Borges) wouldn't take the bait?

Good question. Thats the type of coaching job many coaches dream of. On the other hand, with such high expectations there are some people who may be reluctant to step into that situation. I know Orgeron swooped in when Coker let a lot of assistants go after the CRUSHING they received in the bowl game last year at the hands of LSU. There are a lot of people who would want the job, and a lot of people who have ties to the Miami program who are great coaches. I think that with the status Miami has reached they can basically take their pick. In this situation its not about who would take the bait, its about whos gonna get the bait thrown their way.
But lets not get ahead of oursleves...so far this is nothing but an internet rumor. It could actually happen or it could just be some disgruntled fans stirring the pot.

Yeah, all five of 'em are pissed right now ;).
Whenever they play at home it seems there are HUGE sections in their stadium that are EMPTY when many schools sell out EVERY game year in year out.

The Orange Bowl barely seats 70,000...and they never fill it up. f$u is the same...the only time f$u fills their stadium is when UF comes to town and sometimes, Clemson...funny thing, the state of Florida payed for an "upgrade" at Doak Campbell nearly 10 years ago...added several thousand seats...even though they couldn't fill up the 70+ thousand before...oh yea, they also added a statue of St. Bowden. :barf:
