In three weeks we will see what this Gamecock team has inside. It doesn't matter what we hear this week we will beat Wofford handily. They run the option and one thing our D has is speed and speed kills the option. Bottom line in the next 2 weeks we have the opportunity to get a lot of guys some PT and some confidence. Against UGA we lacked heart. I am not taking anything away from Georgia, but the line with the most heart won the battle at the goal line. If our guys fire off instead of standing up even with Blake's poor effort he could have broken the plane. If we don't waste redzone opportunities and protect the football we would have been in the game. (No Georgia fans I didn't miss the fact that if you had protected the ball it could have been much worse than it was) If these young guys face a couple of lines they can push around they may get some confidence. The question I will have is how will they respond to a Thursday night visit from the Tigers. They will either take the confidence and turn it into heart and fight for a square yard of grass like it is the last square yard of grass in the South and Sherman is standing there with a match, or they will lay down. This is the defining moment of this team. Auburn is not a must win for us to have a competitive season, but it is a must show up. For this team to have the respect of its fansand conference, they must show up. The line and QB must show they belong and give the skill players the opportunity to make plays. The coaching staff must get the best players on the field and call a game that gives them the opportunity to win. USC turned a corner last year. We are on the right street now, but we have to get the car running right.
