Just an idea, not sure how many boxing fans view this board. Myself, I am a huge boxing fan and love discussing the fights. Maybe put one under "The Pros" as a subforum. May not really get too much attention but I think there are a few here that watch a little boxing.

I'm for it, I'm more of a fan of Golden Gloves/USA Boxing than I am pro.

Woohoo a reply to this post, thanks timNem! Tonight there is a nice boxing match lined up.....Valuev vs. Barrett. Hopefully Valuev will win because I'd love to see a Vlad K. vs. Valuev fight.

So you want to see Dragovff vs Dragovff. Should be cool, although I think Valuev is a gimick and not very talented.

Valuev has had some iffy wins by decision etc. but he is in the mix. The heavyweight division is nuts right now. Personally I like Vlad K. the best but Toney is the man imo.

I'd definitely be for this. I LOVE boxing. Isn't Corrales/Casamayor III tonight? Should be a good one. Outside of Jermain, there are some other big-time figthers from SEC states. Florida's got Wink. There's this badass young guy whose name escapses me from South Carolina. David Williams? I dunno. Anyway, I like the idea.

Yep the Corrales vs. Casamayor is tonight. Both are great warriors but I will be pulling for Chico.

I just wish they would combine the IBF, WBF, and WBA and have a undisputed champ in all weight classes. My trainer when I boxed in USA Boxing/GOlden Gloves has coached the last two Olympic teams and coached the last Pan-AMerican team. My son is only two years old and I can't wait to get him in Silver Gloves!

That's cool timNem, gonna be a little southern warrior.
That fight wasn't that good tonight. It was close, kinda boring, and Chico lost. I was pulling for him, too. I'm afraid he's on the downswing of his career.
I'm gonna go to the JT/Ouma press conference next week. Any other Hogs going?

Very cool tim, nothing wrong at all with that man. I can agree with you about the weight classes, especially in the heavyweight division right now.

Its been almost twenty years since a dominating heavyweight took the scene.
