I see five interesting games this week involving SEC teams, that could conceiveably go either way (LSU/Auburn, Arkansas/Vanderbilt, Ole Miss/Kentucky, Tulane/Mississippi State, and Florida/Tennessee).
Who do you THINK will win between........LSU at Auburn?

I'll take LSU. Here is the other thread with everyone's predictions and input on the game: LSU vs. Auburn Preview (http://www.sectalk.com/boards/showthread.php?t=11971&page=1)

Tough Call. Dang, this is going to be a game. Defense and running the rock are key.
Right now I like Auburn. But by a fieldgoal.

As you probably know, Auburn has a great field goal kicker. If they get to the opponents 40, he can likely make it. He's quite a weapon.

That's true, though VERY surprising that you say that after last year's performance.
Vaughn kicked a 55 yarder on saturday.

I like Auburn, they're the better overall team in my eyes. I think LSU's defense is better but Auburn is not far behind, IMO.
I think the Tigers will win haha..

Yeah.....both of the last 2 games between the two teams have been decided by a kicker.
2004: LSU missed an extra point to lose by 1, after Auburn got to retry thier extra point because of a penalty.
2005: Auburn missed 5 field goals.
It'll be interesting to see how close Tubby is willing to attempt the field goal. The kicker is about 50/50 over 50 yards according to Tubby, and that's giving great field position to LSU if they miss.

speaking of, that was kind of strange how that happened. his kick comes up short on a 50 yarder, gets a penalty, then kicks a 55 yarder that could of been a 63 yarder.

Can you explain why, mr. armchair quarterback?
I hate it when people make ridiculous statements with absolutely nothing to back it up.
Our margain of victory this year is THITRY (30) against two solid teams.
Meanwhile your Vols squeak by airforce by a measly 1.

I don't make predictions before the game. Unless it's a gimmie.
But seriously, if I was unbiased, I'd pick LSU. So fast and athletic all around.

Beating an SEC team by 34 points and shutting them out is a solid win.
There's really no other way to put it.

There's only room for 1 Tiger in Atlanta, and if we can take your guys down Geaux, the road begins to look that much easier. Plus, it'll put some added fear into our upcoming opponents on just how good Auburn is.

I picked LSU preseason, and nothing has really happened to change my mind, so I'll stick with that....

Yes, that does seem to be the problem, doesn't it!

Should be a classic in the making. And, you are quite right... if you do win, the road ahead is very bright. That, however, is true both ways.
Let us look forward to a great battle with no serious injuries resulting.

That is a very good point, especially since whatever team takes the loss, it is still possible to go to ATL.

I'm really looking forward to this game, and I'm sure it will be close regardless of who wins. If Irons can rebound from Miss. St. and use that as fuel to run over LSU, Auburn should win it. Vaughn looks sharp this year too :)
Auburn - 24 LSU - 21 On a game winning Vaughn field goal.

Geauxto no disrespect but Les Miles will be the reason for the loses and I don't know why but he reminds me of Zook.Lsu I think can beat most teams on talent alone but the coach I am not sold on.

Miles did pretty well last year. 10-1 regular season and 11-2 over all. He did pretty outstanding considering the situation with the hurricanes. He was fortunate to have some great leaders on the team though.

Definitely do not agree here. While I was extremely skeptical about the Tigers hiring a coach from Oklahoma State, I must say that Les Miles did an excellent job at LSU last year. Haters will say that he did it on Saban's talent and recruits, but look at the class he brought in this year and I think it will show you that Miles is perfectly capable as well. As someone mentioned, Miles did an incredible job with an 11-2 season after two devastating hurricanes. I think he is a great coach and could surprise a lot of people this year, especially with the talent that he has over there.

Wouldn't you rather knock off (or try, at least) an undefeated team?
Anyone just saw the LSU flag behind those knuckleheads on gameday. GEAUX TIGERS

Wouldn't you rather knock off (or try, at least) an undefeated team?Yes...that's a no brainer, but it is easier said than done. I think that if UGA even has a remote chance of beating Auburn, Stafford/Massaquoi and other recievers especially TE Martrez Milner (aka butterfingers) and the running backs have to be clicking on all cylinders. It also wouldn't hurt if the defensive backs would make a few tackles.
Anyone just saw the LSU flag behind those knuckleheads on gameday. GEAUX TIGERSI am refusing to watch ESPN except in the event they have a good game on. I can't stand listening to Lee Corso. I'm not sure that Lou Holtz even speaks English...if he did, I wouldn't know. I think that it is complete bs that Gameday was not in Auburn today...once again the SEC gets screwed over...

The line is LSU with 3.5 points over Auburn.
On the EXTREMELY rare chance that GeauxTo won't speak to me again, I'm taking Auburn by 6 points.
