Does anyone remember the bammers claiming " their offense is good enough to win the west"? Well, it seems like they picked up right were they left off in '05. Their offense shows promise at times but for every big play they make they back it up with a turnover or a sack or some stupid mental mistake. Furthermore, redzone offense is an oxymoron to bammer. The tide gained 17 yards on 11 carries inside the vandy 25... that wont work in the SEC. Bama has gone six consecutive SEC games without scoring atleast 20 points... that is pathetic. Yes, the SEC is a defense oriented conference but you have to put it in the endzone more than one time a game to have success against quality SEC opponents, i.e. Arkansas. If the Rowww Tide has another meltdown on offense like they did in weeks one and two then you can expect them to lose in Fayetteville.

Yes, bammer has a good defense, but If they wont to ride the defense all season long expect a finish no better than 3rd in the west... but hey they do have 12 national championships..... six of which are recognized by the associated press.....

ROWWWW TIDE we kill everyone on time of possesion!!!

ROWWWW TIDE we kill everyone on time of possesion!!!

Say whatever you want, but that little tidbit is why we won 10 games last year. That is why were 2-0. That's why we contiune to run the ball even if it hasn't been doing well. TOP is important, thats why coaches hark on it so much.

TOP is important, but not as important as scoring more points than your opponent. TOP might have won you 10 games but it lost you 2 of the most important games

My favorite quote of the entire college football world this weekend...

"If we score touchdowns on those drives when we get into the red zone, we're the best offense in America," JP Wilson said.

Sounds like a quote from a Get Smart episode. "Missed me by this much"

That's too funny... If we do this... if that would have happened....but we almost... blah blah blah..... Bama might as well go back to the wishbone... bet they would score more

Its starting to sound like a common thing from bamma using this "if" word. There's alot of "if we hadn't this" or "if they hadn't take away that" it didn't happen so quite giving the if's.

I was on Brondon's Little League Baseball team almost every year from the ages of 5 through 14.

But more importantly I was on the Math Team with him and Lee Guess :)

One Bama fan on this board claims Alabama will win the West and yet it's "when all the Bammers were claiming."

As an impartial observer I have to admit that I heard a lot of Alabama fans on sports talk radio predicting SEC Title and even a few claiming this year would bring them a National Championship. I think that's a bit of wishful thinking for one of the mediocre (albeit better than South Carolina) offenses in the SEC.

If you look back to last year, when Alabama beat Tenn. it seemed like a much bigger win that weekend then it ended up looking like. (Like I've said before, if I would have known Tenn. would end up 5-6 and lose to Vandy I would have saved the 20 bucks I dropped on a t-shirt bragging about USC beating them in Knoxville) The same could be said of the Florida game. By the end of the year Florida had lost to a mediocre USC and missed out on the SEC title game. I don't see Alabama doing much better than third in the west. (Then again, based on the stellar play of the Mississippi's I don't see them doing much worse than 4th either)
