meyer was quoted after the game that leak is now scripting the plays for this offense. i think this is huge. leak is doing the things he feels comfortable doing and seeking advice from the wrs on what they like and dont like and what plays they feel comfortable with. what qb wouldnt like that??
why is this important??? we all know if leak is comfortable, he is deadly accurate. he has looked as comfortable as i have seen him at uf. he was rolling the pocket last night to the right and left and checking receivers as good as i have seen him. he was deadly the first 2 games and i expect this to continue into tennessee.
also, uf was using a silent cadence all night last night to get ready for the crowd noise at neyland. this is big if we can avoid the false starts and such that are common on the road at places like neyland.

I think Neyland will be Leak's coming out party in a huge season for us. At this point I think that we have a legitimate shot at the SEC Title and maybe even a National Championship. But we started off hot last year and hit some speed bumps, so I'm trying not to be overly optimistic. Neyland should be a great indicator for us, but if we can get through our season with just 1 loss, I could see us playing for it all. Come on Leak!!!

If we can get to the bama/less-u/auburn stretch without any major injuries, especially at WR and OL, I think we'll be primed for a HUGE season.
We have to get out of Neyland healthy though....

i am a little more optimistic about our o-line depth now that wilson is coming back and carlton medder is playing so well. word is the spot may now belong to medder.

He is playing well. I'm so happy for these guys. They've been dogged by everyone since last year ended. Experience in the system seems to be winning out over playing-time experience.
We'll know much more on Saturday.
Chris better script some quick-read packages this week. You know UT is going to blitz their brains out.....especially in the 5WR sets.

I agree, I expect UT to employ USM's defensive gameplan.

yeah, im hoping we stay out of those 5 wide sets. they worked well yesterday, but many times ucf was only rushing 3-4 people. i think uf may of been just "showing" ut a bunch of those sets b/c they didnt work at all against better Ds last year. if we do go 5 wide, we have enough healthy "playmakers" this year to take a swing pass and make first downs out of it. i saw where uf had 27 first downs yesterday, that is a bunch.
as far as experience in the system, i totally agree. i was once skeptical that uf just didnt have quality o-linemen but when you realize how complex this blocking system is, it is gonna take time.
i cant wait for saturday already.

If UF makes it through the season without a loss with thier schedule, I think the team they play in the BCS championship game should just give up.

Somehow I think it would take more than that....especially after Auburn ran the table a few years ago.
I think ESPNniks want OSU/ND in the title game, and it's going to take a lot for them to give up that dream.

Florida's schedule contains 4 teams that are currently in the top 10 and another one in the top 15. Not to mention that they play 3 top 10 teams in back-back-back weeks. If they go undefeated...they'll be in the championship game.

i hope you are right, but there is a lot of football to be played b/f we start touting florida's undefeated season.

Oh..I don't think Florida will make it through thier schedule with any less than 2 losses, but if you do win them all, you will be in the championship game =P

Yep....those top-10 teams might be out of the poll by the time November rolls around. Remember #4 UT last year...?
UCF and USM may be higher ranked by the end of the year.
SOS can't really be determined until AFTER the season is over.

I know it was UCF..... but the O looked better last night from start to finish, than any other time so far under Myer. Leak is playing very well, checking recievers every pass play. At UT will be a huge test, with the history of this staff playing on the road. This staff has been planning ahead evident by Myers comment about using a silent count all night in preperation for next weeks game. I'm not ready to predict a win over UT in Neyland yet, but I feel better going in this year than I did last year. We finally have some players that are a legitimate threat to go the distance off a 5 yd cross.

I think Florida is the Team to beat, I thought Harvin looked good last night as well as Dallas Baker.
But wait lets give it up to the man that is just straight up sick. That being Chris Leak he's nasty and yall should and I think you will be undefeated, now the way the BCS works I hope other teams lose because if they don't well then its 2004 all over again.

Considering the trouble Tennessee had with Air Force's Spread option offense it shouldn't be too hard for Florida to leave with a win .

It's gonna be a helluva ball game that's for sure. I definitely feel better about it after Week 2 then I did after Week 1. Plus, we'll probably get to see who we'll face in the SEC Championship Game if we win. The LSU vs. Auburn game should determine who represents the West.

Not trying to quench the enthusiasm, but I wouldn't be making reservations for Atlanta just yet. There is still a lot of football left to be played. No SEC titles have been won in Sept.. I do like our chances this weekend, but lets face it, UCF was outmanned last Saturday. Lets wait until after Oct. 28th to see where we are, before we talk of SEC East titles.

AF doesn't run the Spread Option, they run the Triple Option. I expect UF to win, but it will be a TOUGH game.

Exactly... that's just how fired up I am right now. Don't worry I'll have my head by gametime and you can bet I'll be downright nervous until the clock shows 0:00. Hopefully I won't be so nervous after that.
