For what reasons?

Probably lack of PT and maybe seeing that the true freshmen have a leg up on him in natural athletic ability. I think that there are some kids on the squad that may be on the third string or the scout team that are good football players and would start on a DIV I-AA or DIV II team. We all know that the longer SOS stays there the better the caliber of players will be coming in. Some players realize that they may have little or no chance to see the field other than in practice, so rather than waste away on the bench and waste eligibility, they leave and pursue careers at other schools (ie: Heffner.)

We will see more of that in the future. And that may not be the reason in this case, but I expect to see more transfers from USC in the future as the pool of talent deepens.

Georgia demoted a couple of players this week and folks around here say it is all about lighting a fire under them. For them, it is all about motivation.

As Ware slipped on the depth chart, did he just give up or did it motivate him to work harder? If he gave up, then you can forget demotions as being motivational tools. If he worked hard and just couldn't keep up, then I am happy for him in making a decision to go somewhere he can play.

I agree with you that he should go and play somewhere else rather than see the field from the bench. I wish him the best in his future endeavors.
