I was just thinking back to Feb. when many of us were jacked up about Fantasy Baseball. We had a couple of SECTalk leagues crop up, then the site had the "Divorce" and not a word has been uttered since. I was just wondering how it went for everyone.
I am pleased w/ the way my season turned out as I went from last place in June to being the 5 seed in the playoffs. Jermaine Dye has been a monster for me all Summer. Of course having Johan Santana and Roy Halladay is always a plus. However, I am getting my butt kicked so far this week. I am hoping to survive for a showdown w/ either Omaha or Gamecockfan! Good luck to all who are in the playoffs, unless of course you are playing me.

I finished in second during the regular season of fantasy baseball. After leading the league most of the season, I had to scratch and claw my way through the last month to finish in 2nd to get one of the two byes for the first week of the playoffs. Congrats to Omaha for finishing in 1st during the regular season. I'll be playing either scfan5338 or Georgia Pride (whichever team wins) in the next round of the playoffs.

AUTiger......You made quite a run in the 2nd half of the season. I'd be thrilled to play you, as I believe the only way we can meet is in the Championship (separate bracket). Therefore, if we meet, I'll know I made it to the Championship Game.

We will see. I have to survive the week though. The good thing is I have Santana, Halliday, and the D train going twice this week. What happens if the week ends in a 5-5 tie? what breaks the tie?

From the rules section..........

Tiebreak System

In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock will be broken using the following system:

Lowest team ERA.
Highest team AVG.
Lowest team WHIP.
Most team HR.
Most team wins.
Most team RBI.
Most team saves.
Most team runs.
Most team SO.
Most team SB.
Random "coin flip."

unlike autiger, i was in the top 4 teams for most of the season before a late season dive by my young pitching staff. liriano went on the dl and it was downhill from there. i think i lost 5 straight weeks to miss the playoffs by one game, lmao  .

to sum it up, it couldnt of went any worse.

well after being 60-66 and 10th in the standings i managed to rally and finish with a record of 114-95-11. finishing in 4th place. i have won 7 out of the last 9 weeks finishing with 1 loss and 1 tie. i got the 4th seed and am currently beating Autiger hehe. hopefully i can hold on to this lead to make it to the second round against Omaha.

I have only 1 pitcher on my roster now that i started the season with. so needless to say i had to make some DRASTIC changes to my pitching. now that i look at it i have only 5 players total that i started the season with. my offense has been very consistent with the exception of the 2 weeks Pujols was out. but he is turning it up now. Jeter and Soriano have been very good all year long. Pierre has gotten me many steals that helped me win a few times. Justin Morneau has been the biggest suprise of my team this year. he is batting .318 with 33 homeruns and 115 RBI's glad i picked him up when i did.

Good Luck Autiger in our game this week but hopefully you dont make a run these last few days.

I have to say i won my league again. At least the reg season. First round bye is looking good, since i have pedro, rivera, giambi, and chipper who are all hurt this week but expected to be back next. In our league the reg season money is as much as the playoff money. Pick of the year was definetly Soriano and Johan in the first 2 rounds, I havent needed much else, but just in case i added Jeter, Damon, Dye, and Delgado. I had Sheffield too but that didn't work out as well. I have to say Fantasy Baseball is 100 times better than fantasy football, way more stratagy, games every day, and way more stats than touchdowns and yards. Fantasy football = Draft and Pray

So that's been my problem the last couple of years. I didn't pray enough! :brick:

Alright! I tried to get slick and get Chad Tracy and Eric Byrnes in the lineup against the Fish tonight b/c I liked the matchup, and I'll be damned if the Sanchez didn't go out and No-hit the DBacks. Crap!! :brick: That is no way to win in the playoffs. Still down 6-3-1.

OK! It looks as if I may survive another week as a result of the tie-breaker being lowest ERA. 5-5 right now against Spured. Can't get any closer.

I have lost players this year for every imaginable reason. I lost X. Nady early in the year when he was red hot due to appendicitis. Rios had a staph infection. Richie Sexson's wife had twins. He missed a week. ( I know how you feel Richie ). Wakefield Got a stress fracture to his rib. (Seriously! How does a knuckleball pitcher break a rib?) And to top it all off, today in the first inning, one of my aces Roy Halliday gets a ball hit off of his pitching elbow! The beat goes on. Oh Well! that's life I guess

Great game Spured! :goodjob:
