Note: I got them from ESPN.com. Don't know why the records still say 0-0 though.

i swear to god, IF we run the table and end up third to USC and someone else, I'm goint to blow up ESPN. They gave us the excuse in 2004 that we didn't move up because the teams above us kept winning, and here we have USC jumping up three spots. Granted they only have us by 2 points, but it's the principle.

If ANYONE in the SEC goes undeafted this year, We should all Stand up as Brethern and Demand They play, or else we pull our conference from the BCS.
If Slive had any Marbles, he'd do it too!

UGA moves up three/four spots! Tennessee's jump is a little pre-mature and I hate it that USC moves up 3 spots. GO SEC!

Cal at 22/23 from #9? That's a little to hasty, even after a beat down like they recieved. It was just one game. Maybe #16 or #17.
Though it is good to see Notre Dame drop a few after their struggle against GT. I never thought they were that good. I predict PSU over ND this Saturday.
And finally, Bama is in the top 25. As long as they keep moving up, I'm good.

Yeah definitely enjoy it while you can because after September 16th we'll be lucky to have 3 in the top 12. That is what an SEC schedule can do to you!

That looks about right. I'd be just like the two polls. Fickle on whether to put Georgia ahead of Tennessee or the other way around. Glad to see 'Bama get in there. But just like Shanksta said above, the SEC Schedule is tough. If we were to upset Georgia and since we're considered pitiful by the PAC-10, et.al. kool-aid drinkers, it would hurt Georgia worse than it would help us. That just doesn't seem right.

We know what espn's mind set is now and that is to get USCal back to the NC because for some reason they like to see the same team get there year after year. I don't see how you jump three spots in the top ten after beating the same calibur team about the same?

So Cal only beat an unranked Hogs team. Why the move three spots? Lingering popularity. It'll wear off eventually. I'm looking for Karl Dorell and UCLA to upset the Trojans this season.

How bout Chris Markey? Running back from New Orleans, Jesuit High School. The kid is an absolute beast and is the starter now that Drew is gone. He is gonna be big time you can bank on that. His numbers were awesome last year as a backup.

Markey? I haven't heard much about him, only what you said. But the bad thing is, even with Jones-Drew (who was injured at Jax during preseason) last season at UCLA, they only put up 13 points against USC. Of course that was the "beat all" USC team, who punked out against UTx mind you.
I'll take your word for it though. I hope he runs the ball down the Trojans' throats. I still expect an upset.

Yeah, I'm hoping Cal beats USC this year. Dang we'd look good
But yeah, shankstas right. By the middle of the season, it's going to be alot different.

You haven't heard of him because he played behind Maurice Drew. He didn't get a ton of carries last year, but when they did he racked up the yardage. He is a great back with decent size (5'11 , 208lbs) and great hands out of the back. He can break it long and have a big impact this year.
Here are a couple of his bigger games from last year:
He had 3 catches for 120 yards and a TD against Arizona State.
He had 23 carries for 150 yards and a 6.5 ypc against Northwestern in the Sun Bowl last year.
In games that he had 10+ carries he averaged 5.18 ypc.
He had 17 catches for 231 yards and a 13.6 ypr average.
He did have a sluggish start against Utah, only getting 32 yards on 9 carries and 3 catches for 45 yards. But, I expect him to have a great season, especially if he is asked to carry the majority of the load in the run game. His senior year in high school, I want to say that he carried about 220 times for more than 2,300 yards and had around 600 yards receiving. A definite athlete. I hope he has the breakout year that I'm waiting for from him. UCLA is probably the only PAC-10 school that I don't hate with a bitter passion.

I'm with you there, but if Cal doesn't learn to tackle better, USC/CAL will make USC/ARK look like it came down to the last play. I do have a weird feeling about UCLA too for some reason. It's probably wishful thinking but I also have a feeling about Nebraska.

Dang! That's some pretty good statage. Statage? is that word? Anyway, I wouldn't mind having him in Bama's backfield.
As far as not hating UCLA with a bitter passion. I don't either. Though they did beat us in both games back in 2000,, 2001. Other than that, I have always prefered UCLA to USC.

Absolutely, Three touchdowns were due to poor tackling. I don't see an SEC team tacklin' that poorly this year.
My guess is UCLA can't tkl either, though. Neb might have a shot, but right now I wouldn't take 'em
