View Full Version : Our offensive line has NO heart

This summer when the defense was working hard, getting stronger and getting in shape, the offense line was sitting around with their thumb up their butt. They can't run block. They can't pass block. They got the starting Qb sacked out of the game with a broken shoulder. Their effort was pittifull. It seems like they would have been embarressed after the coach's comments about fat guys playing like fat guys, but no. Instead we get another loss because they can't earn their keep.

One scoring drive in the first half and we win this one, but no. They throw away yet another GREAT defensive effort by our team to a bunch of no name defensive players for S.C. How bad does your offense have to suck for the punter for the other team to be named the most valuable player?

If there was a man among them, they would all give back their scholarships. I'm calling them all out. Brian Anderson, Calvin Wilson. Anthony Strauder, Anthony Dunning, Royce Blackledge, Johnny Carpenter, Michel Gates, Craig Jenkins and J. D. Hamilton. You wasted your chance to get stronger. Get your fat butts in shape. Be a man. Not for one play, but for all the play's you're in. Earn your scholarship. Have some pride, and way more heart. Get in shape and play like men. You know, like the defense.

It's a serious problem, no doubt and one Bama fans can relate to. What's even more disappointing about MSU's situation is Croom is a former stand-out OL. If anything, you would think he would be totally hands-on and in-charge of the OL development at MSU.

Well it's obvious you all have a real problem there. No need to rub it in, especially as we have yet to play the first down of the 2006 season.

It would be a better situation for you (MSU) if you had a little bit of a passing game. But maybe the line will improve dramatically from game one to game two.

That's a real hummer of a defense ya' got there though, and they play with pride and determination.

What one feels they may have garnered from the first game of the season is not always a true indicator of the way things really are. The second game will be a bit more telling. Isn't Auburn next on the agenda? Brrr.....good luck with that!

[We get a breather next week---the lowly GA Bulldogs come to town.]
