Don't forget to watch this game on espn at noon. It should be a great match up, and both these teams could send a lot of talent to the SEC. This will be the only time I will pull for Willy Korn

byrnes up 21-9 at the half. belle glades is lucky it isnt 35-9....korn threw an int on a screen plass, a d-lineman jumped up and tipped one to himself(both ints were in belle territory, one deep in their territory), and korn fumbled once. when he isnt throwing to the other team, he looks extremely good. belle seems completely undisciplined although the refs are calling some ticky penalties.

I think Byrnes is playing well, but i'm concerned about their conditioning. I think BG's coach was right going off the field. Byrnes appeared to be getting tired at the end of the half. Oh well, they get the ball first. Might be interesting if Byrnes has the lead and starts getting tired. Might be the first time you ever see them play "milk the clock."

Glades had four of their players involved in a serious accident last month. 1 died. 2 others are still in the hospital - 1 paralyzed and it sounded like the other might be in a coma. 1 is at the game, but he has had several surgeries on his eye. It sounded like the one who died might have already graduated (or he was a senior already committed somewhere). I do not know how old the two in the hospital are, but one is a brother to the guy who is at the game.

I sort of got the impression that the guy they interviewed was also a former player. Didn't the guy say he was heading to Akron next semester?

Overall a good game I'd say. I have the feeling that both teams were tight. If either had played to their potential, I think they'd have won in a blowout.

My impression was that he is a senior who will graduate in December. He is headed somewhere to start school in January. I can't remember if it was Akron or not.

Lot of turnovers. Korn was impressive at times and unimpressive at others.

auburn commit, dixon, looked good for BG. He had a couple of good hits, and stripped the ball from the running back. tons of athleticism, but took some plays off. he'll learn he can't do that when he gets to the SEC.

NO, you're just a sore loser who can't handle the fact that Florida got beat by SC. That's plain and simple sour grapes. The game was televised and EVERY stinking call against UF was reviewed and found to be accurate. Just try to accept it and move on. You're program has too much class to be acting like you were robbed. Face it, UF CAN and WILL lose, every now and again.

Really...do you have a link that provides this information?
Look, I'm not saying we were robbed...I'm just saying, like the HS team today, we Florida teams seem to make a lot more mistakes than normal when we visit South Carolina...;)

Neither team Byrnes or Belle Glades looked like they belong in the top 100 much less the top 5 in the nation. I have never seen so many flags in any game anywhere at any time.
Korn looked god on a few passes but really looked bad most of the day with stupid passes and bad decisions all day long.
The Belle Glades team evidently didn't learn much from the illegal taping of Byrnes practice, because over all they were no match for Byrnes defense.
MAN THIS GAME SUCKED for all the hype. I actually felt sorry for the ESPN announcers!

Yea...looked like BG had better athletes but Byrnes had better coaching and their kids seemed more disciplined than the BG kids.

actually besides all the penaltys it was a rather good game. you dont see a whole of passing in southern high school football. especially South Carolina high school football. so it was good to see two teams actually throw the ball. and play good defense. Korn only made a few bad decisions. only 2 of those turnovers were bad decisions on his part. the DE made a very good play on one of those interceptions. and the fumble was him trying to do to much. which i guess you can say was his fault but he will definantly learn what to do in that situation at the next level. over all he looked pretty good. i think he is being hyped up too much but he is definantly one of the best QB's in the nation. the one thing that i did notice was that his recievers had to slow down to catch the ball nearly everytime they went deep down field.

It is a fact that UF, Miami, and the HS team, BG, all had a ton of penalties called against them while playing in South Carolina. The Miami-Clemson game was on last night and I couldn't believe some of the calls that went against Miami...I'm no Cane fan, but the only reason Clemson was even able to tie the game for overtime was because Miami was called for 5 "iffy" penalties on that drive...everything that I stated was facts...it's my opinion that this isn't a coincidence...;)
