SCRIMMAGE TONIGHT: LSU will scrimmage with full-throttle tackling for the first time tonight under the lights in Tiger Stadium. The previous two scrimmages had only partial tackling.

"We're looking forward to a nice go on Tuesday," Miles said. "We're going to tackle, work on ball security. Yes, real tackling. We'll tackle for three quarters of the time."

Among the players who may not participate in the scrimmage because of various minor injuries are wide receiver Craig "Buster" Davis (hamstring).

"There will be some guys who won't go long," Miles said. "There are some guys who are nicked that will probably be in there for 10 to 12 snaps. The majority of the guys will go the whole time. I think Buster Davis will probably get limited snaps. Not many other guys."

No players were in green jerseys for no contact at LSU's practice Monday afternoon, but backup quarterback Matt Flynn was not throwing during the drills that the media was allowed to see.

"He has some camp soreness like a lot of guys," Miles said.

Left guard Will Arnold, who did not scrimmage Saturday, practiced Monday and is expected to play for most of the scrimmage tonight. Arnold, who battled a kidney problem last season and has a problem with his knees swelling, has been in and out of practice most of camp so as not to wear him out for the season. Miles is treating veteran tailback Alley Broussard, who is coming off two knee surgeries, the same way.
