I know this isn't the forum for NFL talk , but with things a little slow and since we have this weekend and 1 more before the SEC kickoff I was just wondering how many NFL fans We have here andwhich teams do you pull for??
I follow the KC Chiefs and have for many years. I am hopefull of Larry Johnson having an MVP season and KC winning a div. Title.
On a side note , I also wil follow the Falcons very closely this year to see how well my man Jerious Norwood does.

I tend to pull for the Panthers and the Falcons, but pull for the Panthers when they play each other. Once college football starts, I typically don't pay much attention though, until maybe Week 12 or so when the playoff races start heating up.

I am a Saints fan, as hard as it's been to remain loyal to them. But this year, with Brees and Bush, things are looking up.
I also like the Chicago Bears; I'm a huge Brian Urlacher fan.
College football, however, is my number one love. I am sort of a half-hearted fan of the pros.

100% Jacksonville Jaguars on Sundays here. We didn't look too good against the Panthers tonight. Carolina could run the table this year.

I am not much of a pro fan but I do watch games that Bama players are on. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the Seahawks because of Shaun Alexander.

Carolina Panthers fan here. I do pull for the Denver Broncos though since thats my wife's team..but the Panthers come first.
I like college ball a lot better though. I rarely watch a complete game of the pro's unless its either Carolina or Denver playing, but with college ball I can watch all day every Sat. in the fall regardless of who's playing. Of course, I get completely crazy when SC plays, but I enjoy watching other teams play too. Hell, I've even caught myself watching TCU and UTEP on a Fri. night:ohmy:

No way possible that Tampa wins the South this year. It is going to be the Panthers or the Falcons. Many people are picking the Panthers to run the table like WB mentioned. Falcons are improved a lot because of the addition of John Abraham on the line and the Saftey from the Bills. He is one of the best in the country. The question with the Bucs is their Offensive line. It is very iffy cause I remeber last year Walker ( i think) had like 5 straight fall start calls against Julius Peppers.

Although not a die-hard NFL fan, I guess I really have three teams I pull for now (Dallas, Atlanta, and Carolina).
A little background......I grew up a Dallas Cowboys fan (starting around 1967 or 1968). I followed them pretty closely for a long time until they turned the reigns over to Jimmy Johnson. I couldn't stand Jimmy Johnson and the Miami Hurricanes when Jimmy Johnson coached them, so I abandoned the Cowboys (and even started pulling against them). Over the last 5 years or so, I have started pulling for them again.
It's like several have stated already. I will watch college football almost any time a game is going on, with any team involved. As far as the NFL, I enjoy it, but it comes behind college football.

Way to show how you don't know what you're talking about!
Yes, the falcons D is looking great. Look at their run D vs. the pats and their passing last night vs. GB. Then get back to me and say they're improved.
Falcons will finish 7-9. I'll put money on that.
I never said the bucs will win the NFC south. I said we did. And that's true.
The panthers will win the NFC south with an 11-5 or 12-4 record this year.
Bucs will finish 10-6. The offensive line is not our quesiton. Davin Joseph and Jeremy Trublood were added via draft (rounds 1 and 2, both are dominating camp/preseason) and Tonui Fonoti (all pro guard in 03) was added via free agency. The line is coming together as a unit is looking like our best in years.
The offense is absolutley loaded with simms looking great in camp (mort says he is 2 years away from joining the 'elite' qb's in the league, take it for what you want) and he has almost a full year of exp. now. We added David Boston via FA and it is being said that he is looking like our best WR out of camp (yes, BETTER than both Galloway and Clayton)
Which brings me to Clayton, who missed all of camp last year and had nagging injuries all year. Not saying he'll be back to 04 form, but he will be back. With the O-line improvments Alex Smith will be able to resume his natural role as a pass catching TE, which adds another weapon to the offense.
With the trio of Clayton, Boston, and Galloway we are LOADED at WR. TE should be good as well with smith. And I haven't even mentioned caddy. The offense will roll this year, it's being called possibly the best ever (for the Bucs that is)
You know how the D is. Best in the NFL last year (numbers wise), top 5 in the NFL each of the last 5 years, return 11 of 12 starters (and improve on the one we lost)
I am fairly confident that the Bucs will finish 10-6 (brutal schedle) and get a playoff berth as the #5 seed (#1 wildcard in the NFC).
And I stand by what it said about the falcons. Don't be fooled. They have major problems on defense and unless they do something fast they will all year (namley run D)

now that that is outta the way, i'm a pretty big closet saints fan, and since i've relocated to the 6th circle of hell, i've taken a liking to the bears also.

What has David Boston proved since coming from his suspension??? He is crap, atleast so far. Clayton is great talent, he was great in his first year but last year he was as bad as they get. I wouldnt rely on Rookie OL. When you go up against those DL Rookie OL is not the way to go. And you are not loaded at WR. The panthers are a team that you would consider loaded. Here's who they have: Steve Smith, Keyshawn Johnson, Drew Carter, Keary Colbert, and Efrem Hill( who has looked great in the preseason).

!. NY Giants...always have been and likely always will be.
2. Carolina Panthers...they're so close to the Giants in my heart that it pains me to root against them when they play the G-men.
3. Cincinnati Bengals (though all these arrests and Georgia Bulldawgs on the team are making them less attractive. I grew up a big Ickey Woods and Boomer Esiason fan...damn 49ers).
I was a big Patriots fan growing up as well, but once Bledsoe got hurt and Brady went in I lost interest....I really just can't stand Brady. Once he's gone the Pats will probably rise up into the top 3 somewhere.

I'm just saying that he is on the depth chart. Anyone of the guys on the Panthers could start for your filthy Bucs especially the WR's. You are the real dumbass here. I didnt bring up Hill tp support my argument. I brought up Smitty, Johnson, Carter and Colbert to support by decision. You can even count Deshaun Foster as a WR cause he catches a lot of passes out of the backfield.

I think that this will be the toughest Division in the NFL this year. The Bucs offense is looking a lot better than it has since Brad Johnson left and the defense is always solid. Cadillac should have a very big year. The Falcons have Michael Vick and I have to believe that the defense will be better this year with Edgerton Hartwell healthy and the addition of the Jets All-World Defensive End. The Panthers should win the division with a healthy running attack. Jake Delhomme may be one of the most underrated QBs in the league. Don't look for him to be underrated this year with Steve Smith, Keyshawn Johnson and Keary Colbert in the recieving corp. The Saints may wind up at the bottom of the Division again, but they will be much better this year and no one will even remember 3-13. Reggie is looking incredible and Brees should be able to do some damage with a better than usual recieving corp. If Deuce can stay healthy the Saints should be able to open up a very balanced offense. The defense will be pretty crappy again this year, though, so we're gonna have to outscore teams to win. I see the Panthers and the Bucs advancing to the playoffs.

Your inadequate knowledge of the NFL is cracking me up here!
Theres a reason you're not a coach if you'd start Carter, Johnson (bucs leftovers) Colbert or Hill over Galloway?
You're digging you're own grave deeper and deeper here.
I think you've still got your panties in a wad over the fact that we kicked your ass in the hillbilly hills of carolina and won the division you were supposed to dominate.
Or maybe its the fact that your best player (peppers) is a juicer and a cheater?
Or maybe it's the fact that your trophy case looks like this:

I have more NFL knowledge than you, you lil sh!t head. All you know is about your filthy little Bucs. They are not going to be better than the Panthers period. End of story. And our Receivers are better than yours period. Your damn right I would start Johnson over Galloway. He is a great run blocker and that is important when you are a running team like the Panthers. Thats just one more demension he adds to our team. Yeah I agree I wouldnt start Hill, Carter and Colbert over Galloway.

Joey Galloway: 550 Receptions, 8501 Yards, 58.6 Yards/Game, 64 TD's
Keyshawn Johnson: 744 Receptions, 9756 Yards, 64.6 Yards/Game, 60 TD's
Not much different. Johnson leads in the 2 of the 3 main categories.

WOW, way to bring up what happend years and years and years ago like a bammer! Which is more important? What happend 6 and 7 years ago, or what happend last year??
You tell me I don't have numbers to back up my argument? Here they are, shithead! Only mine are much more relevent than yours. Your stats were meaningless as you can hardly compare career totals and call it fair when Johnson has more carrer games (yet less TDs)
Last year:
Galloway-
1287 yards, 10 TDs
Johnson-
839, 6 TDs
Bring up 5 years ago all you want, but it's all about what have you done for me latley. Galloway is better at this point, hands down.

Is Galloway better than KJ? Absolutely.
However, what Galloway brings to the table we already have in a better receiver named Steve Smith. What KJ brings to the table is the 5-15 yd routes and constant downfield blocking, and you'd be crazy if you think Galloway would be better at that game than KJ. For the Panthers needs, yes KJ is a better option. When you look at it that way (as any GM would), I think even you would agree we're better off with KJ.

The argument wasnt if Galloway would start over Johnson on the Panthers. SCfan said Johnson would start on ANY team over Galloway....
