LSU is a battered and bruised football team at this time. Charles Scott, Ryan Perrilloux, Ricky Dixon, Ciron Black, Tim Washington, Craig Davis, Will Arnold and Alley Broussard are all reported to have minor injuries, with Broussard's injury being the worst. Charles Scott's injury does not appear to be serious. LSU will practice two times today with several players wearing Green jerseys and not taking part in the heavy hitting. The team will hold their second scrimmage of the Fall Saturday which will be a 100-play scrimmage. Let's hope they can get through that without any major injuries. Reports are that the hitting has been ferocious with some high-speed collisions.

Was wondering how serious Charles Scott's injury is, I heard he was climbing up the depth chart at RB.

Charles Scott was limping after the first scrimmage, but reports are that it was a combination of leg cramping from the heat and some good hits, but nothing serious. Probably just a little reaction of moving to this level of competition after being so dominant in high school. He will very likely see playing time as a freshman, maybe even in the first game with UL-Lafayette (if we jump on them early). The scrimmage today will go a long way in determining the two-deep depth chart on both offense and defense.

What about Keiland Williams? I think I heard something about him having grade issues but that is all cleared up now?

No, he's still waiting for the Clearinghouse to okay him. Rumor is that it should come by Monday.

Here is a quote from this morning's Baton Rouge Advocate:
LSU, like many other schools, is still waiting on three recruits to be given the NCAA OK so they can get on the practice field.

Two recruits — Ole Miss transfer Tyson Andrus, a defensive back, and defensive lineman Al Woods — have the NCAA stamp of approval. But the Tigers still wait on running backs Keiland Williams and Richard Murphy, along with offensive lineman Steven Singleton.
