I give Georgia the nod. If you disagree, go post your reason why on the blog.

SEC West up by tomorrow.

With Georgia as your favorite in the East, I'm curious to see your picks in the West.

It seems kinda uninformed to say SC will struggle to become bowl eligible seeing how there are six wins on the board already (MSU, FIU, Wofford, Kent., Vandy, MTSU). Therefore they should become bowl eligible pretty easily.

I agree...no offense to the "hog"...but a lot of his predictions seem uninformed. Made several great points, but to put UGA at #1 is a little bit of a stretch. UGA lost 12 starters....has no proven QB, and plays USCE in Columbia the 2nd game of the season not to mention the WLOCP where UGA has lost 14 of 16...then there's a little trip to Auburn. I'm not saying that my Gators are a "shoe-in", but the East is definitely gonna be interesting this season.

I agree with the two guys ahead of me. I dont see how you have SC barley bowling. Six games that are most certainly wins, I dont see that being a possibility. You probably have your razorbacks going like what 9-3? If UGA gets out of Columbia with a win (which isnt a gurantee) I agree with you that they win the SEC East because of Richt.

I just don't seem to be able to buy into the idea of a team "sneaking up" for a whole season??!! I've heard that about SC so many times and I don't believe it. It's a though no one would ever prepare to play us, they don't even think they could possibly be upset! Personally, I think that theory is one of the most ridiculous arguments ever, for any team. If MSU beats us in game 1, they didn't sneak up. If we beat Arkansas or Georgia, it's not like they didn't know what to expect. That's why they watch tapes. In reality it's just wishful thinking on the part of Gamecock naysayers.

If it takes a whole season for dim witted coaches to see for example, that Sidney Rice can catch about anything thrown at him, then I guess we snuck up!

Hey guys, thanks for the posts. On South Carolina, the point has been made that 6 wins are "on the board already" and I'm not denying that. In a 12 game schedule, 6 wins is barely bowl eligible and 7 isn't much better. I'm picking the cocks to go 7-5.

Okay, Gamecocks, which game(s )are most likely to be your 7th and/or 8th victories?

1. Georgia (Early in the season is the main reason)
2. Arkansas
3. Tennessee
4. Clemson
5. Florida
6. Auburn

In that order.

Wow, thats pretty bold. I'll have to disagree with pretty much everything you just said. Your gonna have a lot of trouble with Auburn, Florida, Clemson, and Tennessee in that order. Georgia and us are toss ups.
