I'm just curious what do Miss team bloggers have to look forward to in every football season. Is it just to win against your rival or is it maybe just win a couple of more games than last season. What are your thoughts??? :closedeye

What an ignorant post. Talk about a cheap shot. I watch b/c all while I was in school, we were in the top 25 in the nation each year. It's hard not to get frustrated these days, but I know we'll get back there again. We may not have the staying power like an LSU or Alabama or TN, but we'll be there again. And that's what I'm waiting for. As for Ole Miss, they've had numberous winning seasons and bowl appearances. They have more tradition than MSU no doubt, and you're cheap shot at them is pure ignorance. They may be up and down, but neither team will stay down forever.

What does an auburn fan look forward to come basketball and baseball season?

No doubt. The only difference between MSU and Auburn is that MSU fessed up to a problem.

Crawl back in your hole, Zorak (nice nerd name, by the way).

Wasn't implying that could possibly if that ex UT qb does the job they probably do good this year. Defense is pretty solid too.

If you watched the show Space Ghost Coast to Coast on adult swim you would realize it wasn't nerdy.

If this wasn't intended to be insulting then it was worded poorly.

It comes across like saying.......You suck so what do you have to look forward to?? Is the best you can hope for a couple of unexpected wins and beating your rival??

I know that isn't what you said , but that it how it sounds.

You could have asked what Ole Miss and MSU fans are looking forward to this season and just left it at that.

Honestly , I don't believe that you are dumb enough to think that nobody would take offense and you knew it would draw ire from the MSU/Ole Miss posters.

If you are going to be a smartass to someone , at least don't insult their intellegence and act innocent. You knew damn well your post would offend people. At least have the sack to admit you were talking some smack.

If you want to insult me for pulling for MSU because they haven't had much success in the last 5 years , then go ahead and do so. We deserve it. We got ourselves into this mess. Rip on us while it is easy. Just don't pi$$ down my back and tell me it is raining. Be honest about it.

For me its easier to respect someone who pulls for a team that may not always be great. That may be because Im a SC fan so I know where they're coming from...our loyalty is tested more than at a lot of other schools. Its easy to pull for a team that wins all the time. Im not saying that fans of others schools arent as good as any others, but their loyalty and fan support isnt tested as much.

I can remember days when an announcer said, "LSU is probably the best losing team in the country," and it made my heart sing! There are ups and downs in the college game, for sure, and especially in the SEC. Sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down, but it's always your team and you are in the SEC!

What a great post in response to a thread...whether it was meant to or not...that sounded degrading to the Mississippi teams. Fans like AceLeroy are a testament to how great our conference is...win or lose...we're here to stay.

I for one have always respected the Mississippi teams...for some reason, everytime my Gators go to that state, no matter what their record is, we get our arses whipped! I hope both schools have better seasons this year...and would love to see two more bowl eligible teams from the SEC.

I'll take your word for it, zorak, that you didn't mean to sound condesending, but if you read the post, it does sound like a "flame"...we all love our teams, successful or not. The Mississippi and South Carolina fans are some of the more "passionate" on this board and since we all "share" the same conference, we should definitely be respectful of the others...even the bulldogs!

Well hell , maybe I owe you an apology then. If you intended no harm then there was no harm done.

Peace to you SEC brother.

I agree 100% with that. It's easy to wave the flag when times are good. It's hard when everyone else jumps ship.

My apologies, Zorak, I thought you were flaming with your poorly worded thread.
