I am really getting jacked up for some football, but I haven't been to Auburn or Athens since the "Tigertwins" were born. ( my wife would be pissed if she knew I was calling them that.) They will be 2 in November. I have always noticed small children at SEC games but was just curious about your own first experiences at SEC games. I think I was 5 when my dad first took me to JHS to see the Tigers play the Gaytors! I remember really getting into watching the Punter warm-up. :

I think I was 5 when my dad took me to my first game. That was also the year he bought me my first cowbell. I remember loving everything about it especially the tailgating. After that year my father bought us season tickets and I've been to nearly every single home game since then some 21 years later.

That's very touching that your father took you to the games so early; I'll bet you were hell with that cowbell, too. And that's why you are such a loyal fan.
I believe I was around eight or nine. My next door neighbors were big Auburn fans and took me to an Auburn-Georgia game, around 1961, at Auburn.
The Bulldogs won.

My mom was pregnent with me with my first game, so I dont know if that counts. If it doesn't then I was two. I had a Robert Brooks jersey and helmet that I wore to the game. It was always cool because his last name is my first.

I didn't go to an SEC contest until I was a Junior in HS. Ironically, It was Bama vs. Penn St in the Sugar Bowl.
However, I took my daughter to Neyland when she was @ 10 weeks old. Never too early to start brain-washing the children, ya know.

My son was 10 when he saw his first football game. It was the 1999 SEC championship of Alabama vs Florida. He wasn't a football fan at the time, but by the end of the game he was hooked. The next game he saw in person was the 2003 game of Alabama vs Tennessee in Tuscaloosa. After the 5th overtime, he was a born again Alabama fanatic.

My first college football game of interest to me was La. Tech with Terry Bradshaw in Shreveport. It was at the fairgrounds and the year was somewhere around 1968 or 1969.
I lived in Haughton at the time and I was in the 9th or 10th grade. LOL!
My first USC game was in 1971.
My first SEC game was and Egg Bowl in Jackson.

I was 6 and it was at the then ( ha, showing my age) newly renovated Mississippi Vetrans Memorial Stadium in Jackson Mississippi,(This was the renovation before the bowled endzone!) USM vs Memphis State! Living in Jackson we got to see State, Ole Miss and USM games on a regular basis, The most memorable was ther first year ( late 60's) to go the the Double Header Saturday , Ole Miss /LSU in the afternoon Miss State / Bama at night, WOW an entire day and night of SEC Football, I was n heaven!
