Does anybody think that they might upset someone in one of the big games this year ? (Georgia, Auburn or LSU)

I don't really see them upsetting any of the three you mentioned in your post. However, I believe Ole Miss will have a decent year and make a Bowl. They should beat Memphis, Missouri, Kentucky, Wake Forest, Vandy, Northwestern State, and Mississippi State (as a minimum).

I am guessing 6-6 or 7-5, but with a little LUCK, you never know what can happen.

Here's a thread I started a while back for everyone to predict Ole Miss' record. As you can see, I predicted 7-5. You may be interested in reading through it since you're new on here and probably missed it.

Good Luck Gamecocks, I wished it was the Rebels giving the Dawgs their first loss. It will be fun to see Spurrier get a win against MS Stank !

Just how low has your program sunk when your fans have in their sig a picture of the scoreboard of a win over a 3-8 team?

Yes somewhat. Ole Miss fans don't ever get used to bad seasons. And we don't want six years of it while looking at a seventh!

geezz you guys, I do hope that Brent is just what we need, but I just hope he will stay on the team for a little while because from what I have heard it seems kinda likely that he will not be there after one year (but I hope it isn't true)

State fans are so pathetic. I've never heard of a team with so many 3 win seasons, think they are such a good team. It must be all that history they have in that sh*thole of a town. haha

You're right, you're right. How ridiculous of me to expect an adult - who apparently attended college - to be able to spell "served". Even a graduate of an A&M school should be able to handle that.

Actually , MSU has only had 5 bad years in a row , not 6. We were a bowl team in 2000. Just saying......not that much better but hell don't take away our good years.

I would like to think Ole Miss will pull off an upset this year, but it will require some of Oxford's newcomers (not just Schaeffer) to make an impact. Georgia has a stable of running backs and Moses is the real deal. Auburn....well Auburn is stacked with a fantastic running back in Irons, a consistent performer at QB, and their defense should survive the suspension of their top LB's for a couple of games. Throw in a brilliant OC and, on paper at least, Aubrun looks to be the SEC's best chance at a national title.
That being said, Georgia will have to decide on a quarterback and might experiment in Oxford. This could prove just costly enough for Georgia against the veteran secondary and linebackers of Ole Miss. In my opinion, Georgia's biggest loss was their massive TE Pope. That guy was outstanding and I don't think many people realize how clutch he was. As far as Auburn, they are sometimes jinxed when it comes to preseason hype (remember 2003). They will replace a couple of veteran recievers and Kenny Irons will have to run behind a new fullback as Jake Slaughter is gone. Slaughter is the unsung hero gone from Auburn's offense; he plowed the successful way for Williams, Brown, and Irons in the past few years.
I think Ole Miss has the best chance against Georgia due to the early season game and the lack of a real physical game prior. Auburn comes after road games in Tuscaloosa and Fayetteville, two places the Rebs have lacked recent success. If Ole Miss can upset Georgia, look for the Rebs to grab one more upset on the road. Hey, the last game in Baton Rouge was pretty close. Who knows?
