Here's a good read on ranking the head coaches you'd want in the next few years...

Richt was higher than I would expect, but he is a good one

I guess I'm ok with Tubbs as #11, that's not bad at all

Hawkins should be higher than 17....in my humble opinion.

Richt' the man. He has class, brings in talent, and is a good coach.

I'm very grateful that no one else wants Phil. I know we don't have a flash- in- the- pan coach , but a proven over- time winner. Two years ago the same type of polls had him at #2. See how goofy this poll looks at the end of the season.

Agree with you, people like to spoof on Phil but nobody can say he
isn't a proven winner over time. Whether it's him or the people he
surrounds himself with, that's all the same. He gets the job done.

That said, I would still rather have SOS, lol!

I don't think Urban should be that high yet. He may be there after this year, but I don't think he's proven himself in the SEC yet.
Nor do I think Ferentz from Iowa should be #4. That team gets more hype and does less than any team in the last 3 years. Plus his overall record is 92-74-1 over the last 14 years. That's about a 55% winning %. Heck Richt is 92-30!!! And is he only one coach better? Not even close.

True Dat. Claiming Meyer belongs on this list is like saying Saban belongs on the NFL's all-time Great Coaches list

I can't believe Nutt is that high at #41.

I can think of more than 40 coaches I would rather have.
